BTA TENNIS STARTS AT BRITISH SCHOOL OF BAHRAIN

We are excited to announce the launch of BTA’s leading tennis programs at the British School of Bahrain, Hamala. Students of all ages and levels now have many more options to learn and improve their tennis with experienced international coach, Riyad.

Since 2000, BTA coaches have been raising the level of tennis instruction on the island. Coach Riyad, a former top 10 player from Algeria, is set to continue this tradition at BSB. Having recently arrived from Canada where he worked with a range of players, including the No 2 14&U player in the nation, he brings a wealth of experience that he’s eager to share.

Classes are now open to the whole community. So WhatsApp BTA today on 39697114 to register or for more information.

See you on the court in 2024! 🎾

24/12/2023

We are excited to have another top-line coach join our ranks. Coach Riyad, who originally hails from Algeria, has most recently been residing in Canada where he was studying and helping talented juniors reach their potential, including the No 2 14&U player in the country.

As well as being an experienced coach, Coach Riyad has accomplished great things as a player, having reached the top 10 as a senior player in Algeria where he was club-mates with coaches Reda and Fayçal. We look forward to his valuable contribution to the academy and our many students who are keen to realise their potential.

From January, Coach Riyad will be based at the British School of Bahrain. We are now taking bookings for those that are looking for a regular private lesson when Term 2 begins. Contact us ASAP to be added to the list as places are limited. Group lesson bookings at BSB will be announced soon.

Shout out to our Yellow Level A players who took part in our Term 1 Ranking Event. Having previously completed events for our Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Level B players, only the academy’s most experienced players were left to fight it out for the top rankings.

This time the coaches allowed a couple of our promising younger players to test their skills against the big boys. They really stepped it up and kept our top players on their toes!

Congrats to Avran who used both power and consistency when appropriate to secure the number one ranking for Term 1. No doubt there will be a target on his back in Term 2!

In our internal ranking events players are divided based on their level to ensure they have the most competitive matches possible.

Our group winners were:

🥇 Red (Level A): Carla Maxim
🥇 Red (Level B): Mousa Abdallah
🥇 Orange: Moosa Altaf
🥇 Green: Layla Abdallah
🥇 Yellow (Level A): Avran Thomas
🥇 Yellow (Level B): Cian Wagstaff
