Looking for a great source of fresh organic produce at an affordable price? Located on Queens Highway in North Andros, our solar powered hydroponic organic farm offers a gourmet selection of local fresh hydroponic lettuce. At Organic-Solar, all of our lettuce is grown indoors which allows us to supply our customers with fresh produce all year long. We pick and deliver our fresh lettuce in our refrigerated delivery trucks.

Today, Organic Solar announced a sustainable farming partnership with the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute. As part of the collaboration, local farmers will adopt even more sustainable livestock feeding practices within the framework of BAMSI’s program for Farming of the Future. As of spring 2022, Organic Solar will supply BAMSI with Organic Fodder in accordance with the program, reducing their feed cost, reliance on import, and offering their livestock healthy Organic Feed*. This development by Organic Solar in support with BAMSI, is part of their food security initiative. Allowing farmers to produce high quality grass fed meat.

Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science institute (BAMSI) earlier this week embarked on a new initiative to tackle food security by partnering with a firm that produces organic animal feed. The Institute signed a contract with Organic Solar, an Andros-based livestock feed company that also grows micro greens. With the contract signing, owners and brothers Cerone Dean and Terrico Dean, young Bahamian entrepreneurs, look to merge their passion for agriculture with a path for Bahamians to access healthy, organic, locally grown livestock and produce.
