On July 9, 2024, the MVA Fund Francistown Office hosted a stakeholder forum to tackle key road safety issues in Botswana. Attended by His Worship, The Mayor, District Commissioners, and other key officials, the event focused on:
• MVA Fund challenges: fraud, lack of rehab facilities, rising medical costs.
• Road traffic crashes: impact on young, productive citizens.
• Electric vehicles: economic implications for the fund.
Stakeholders are committed to working together for safer roads and better healthcare. This engagement was also intended to inform policy decisions and drive collective efforts aimed at improving road safety, enhancing healthcare services, and safeguarding the well-being of all citizens in Botswana.
