✨Fantastic safari company

"We had an amazing safari with Letaka, the organisation was brilliant. Shaka our guide, tracker and driver found us some wonderful animals , we called him Eagle Eye. Never imagined we would get so close to lions , cheetahs and a lone female leopard let alone herds of large adult elephants. Our camp moved every few days to new reserves, three course dinners every night cooked by Vic ably assisted by KG and Evidence. Small group of six kept the whole experience very intimate. Would highly recommend Letaka."

You may often encounter these cheeky birds on safari! The Yellow-billed Hornbill is one of the few birds that can recognise it's own reflection. You may often see them inspecting themselves in the wing-mirror of a parked vehicle of maybe in your camping mirror or any other shiny surfaces. They have a level of self-awareness that's rare in birds.

"I did the 10 day northbound camping safari with Letaka and I can easily say that it was the most incredible experience of my entire life. The locations and the wildlife that we visited were unrivaled, the camp staff were the most kind and thoughtful people, and our guide was phenomenal - knowledgeable, fun, and was able to find some incredible wildlife sightings for us! Our first visit to Africa.
"Our second day in Africa we began our Letaka Safari. From the beginning to the end it was amazing. Our guide, Benjamin, answered all the questions, provided excellent and clear information, tracked all the animals we wanted to see and was fun. The camp crew, KG, Vicks and Evidence were lovely, efficient, attentive, caring and also fun.
The camp was comfortable, the food copious and delicious. What more can a Safari be. We had a fantastic experience on our 10 Northern Highlights tour."

"We recently returned from a 10 days safari in the Okavango Delta, traveling as a friends group of 6 people. To make a long story short: it was an outstanding experience, best thing ever. Thanks to the wonderful and always cheerful crew: Benjamin, Ludick, Poster and Gula. We always felt safe with Benjamin during the game drives, being an experienced driver and ever so patient to answer a million questions about nature and animals. He always tried to make our day special by finding the best spots for animal sightings. The "magic kitchen crew" with Ludick, Poster and Gula surprised us with fresh bread, cookies and cakes from the bush oven! Moreover, who would expect hot water bottles wrapped in blankets at 6:30 am in the open vehicle? Boys, you made us feel very comfy. Thank you all for a wonderful Botswana experience!"

Great Letaka Experience.

"An outstanding trip from beginning to end. A great guide, Benjamin who displayed great knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour which helped our group(6) to gel. His driving and tracking were amazing as was the vehicle in which we sought out a huge variety of animals and birds. The three guys who ran the camp were also amazing, moving it three times in nine days to different locations. The bush catering was unbelievable as was their energy end good humour. By the second day they even had g and ts waiting for us when we returned from the evening game drive and hot water was always available for our shower buckets.
All of the lodges we stayed in were of a very high standard which helped make this an unforgettable experience.

Trust.

I found photographing elephants particularly tricky when in Botswana.

Their size makes stepping back and trying to find a nice composition difficult, instead I'd often punch in and try and bring out small little details.

When there are young ones in the herd however I always find myself drawn to following them, watching as they explore the world around them but never straying too far from the adults.

Always within touching distance.
