As flooding subsides, Kruger National Park is reopening camps After extensive flooding throughout the Kruger National Park, they are beginning to reopen some of their roads and camps.

FLY Namibia Withdraws Objection: Fly Namibia has retracted its objection on the licence application of Etosha Airways owned by retired pilot captain William Ekandjo.

Last week Fly Namibia roped in lawyers to object the application, arguing that Ekandjo does not have the funds nor planes to operate an envisaged business with.

In a press statement this afternoon, Fly Namibia said it is practice and process in the aviation industry, as with most regulated industries in Namibia, for a proposed undertaking, such as the launch of a new airline, to be gazetted and thus allowing for public comment or objection.

"Having deemed our objection ‘business as usual’ within the aviation industry, we were surprised by the vehement negative response from the public and have reflected on our approach." MD of Fly Namibia, Andre Compion said in statement.

Perhaps the only reason that this female leopard chose to first use a set of boulders as a "stepping stone" to help her jump upward into the massive rock fig (Ficus), was that there was a large male leopard resting at the base of the tree trunk on the opposite side. The day before, the male leopard had taken over this females kill, stashed high in the fig tree. On this occasion, the male did not try to chase the female away and she ate what was left.
