Meeting at Clayburn Middle School again! 6pm!

Since taking my FitNation training with I’ve learned a great deal about my own fitness needs. I exercise in the mornings at home but it’s nice to move with my family!
It’s been a bit of a rough go with no longer having the use of our gymnasium we were using, but in a way I am grateful. Today our group was moved outside to the land. And it was glorious! A 3km walk, and some ethnobotany lessons along the way! We found huckleberries, the last few salmon berries, and some thimbleberries!
We moved we swam, we connected.
I think I might just trust creator on this one and continue with outdoor activities moving forward. It is ideal anyways as I’ve yet to secure a place to continue our fitness classes in.

Even if you can’t make it to do the walk around the lake with us/swim, do take the time to move a little!
Our bodies and our brains benefit from intentional movement!
Especially when that moment takes place on the land! Take your shoes off and stand in the grass!
Family fun night is being moved to Rolly lake for tonight as the two locations I was looking at are not available.
I hope when I run this program the next time it has fewer bumps in the road.

Still in search of a new home in Abbotsford for our FitNation Family Night!!!
I committed to 8 weeks and have done 3, but due to unforeseen circumstances I do not have a gym/conference room/community centre room/ in community room to host the last 5 fitness nights.
We may have to switch it up to outdoor, at a park or something.
Sorry for all of the interruptions I really have been so excited to get this thing going!
I haven’t given up, see you all Monday at 6 either way!

Good evening everyone! Due to logistics and some things outside of my control our venue has had to change. As of yet I haven’t found a permanent home for our fitness classes!
I will rent a community room if there is interest in tomorrow evenings class, please just let me know here asap if you were planning to attend! Thank you so much!

I will host in the park or in a yard until I find something, but if anyone knows of a community centre or gymnasium that may be available for an hour on Monday evenings please let me know.

Our first night was a success by all accounts!!! Started out with the kids working out with us, then sent them outside to do their kids workout games!
The ladies (no male participants yet) hung out in the gym with the remaining teenaged stragglers and finished the night off!
Going forward, if you’re wishing to attend please just message us here or talk to Julie Fanucchi to register as we have to keep the numbers manageable.
If this becomes a hit I will consider adding a second time or continuing into the fall.

Good day!!!! I’m Julie Fanucchi, I am an Indigenous Support Worker here in the Abbotsford School district, working, loving, playing and learning on the traditional territory of Sto:lō people, the Sumath First Nation and the Mathxwi First Nation, with respect I am a guest on this land. I am of mixed ancestry. I am Blackfoot as I am the granddaughter of “Gert Conley”, as well as mixed settler descent.
My goal here is to help bring fitness to anyone anywhere anytime!
Providing the foundation and fundamental information to begin anyone’s fitness journey!
