Theology And Context Being Aware Of Our Method Theology and Context: The creation of a new interpretation method that brings us to a place, we never intended and that we are unaware of. Looking at Saul's situation 1 Samuel 15

Psalm 34:17, The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles."

In the general sense, culture can be at the rein of many things which causes culture to trend. The undertowing of trends usually cannot be avoided. So the things that alter culture results in the creation of a particular direction. What are some things that recast culture? It could be ideas, perspectives, interests, religion or other. In fact, many times, when a trend is so powerful, those caught in the vortex end up finding ways to justify it, even if it is against reason. God will deliver, and those who are not delivered, will be caught up in these trends. God will save those who call out. That's His method. God may not change the sway of the trends, but he may and will deliver some from it! Be blessed this week!

Not long after the resurrection, the Spirit came and perpetuated the climax of the cross in the now life of a new paradigmatic community ---> The criminal (in the eyes of the rulers, being Jesus) made king, is something they cannot understand. This may be what contributed to the fear in Felix (when Paul stood trial, as a perpetuated cross-reflecting figure) and maybe also what contributed to the final ending of Paul’s life. The cross has active implications for in the immediate sense.

Have you thought about the satisfaction of being part of something significant, or that the times you live in are significant? The magi did not cause the star to appear. They knew, it represented something that they were seeking.

As you prepare(ed) for Christmas, for the celebration of the 1st Advent of Christ, search your heart to see, if you are also seeking the King. He did come, but not all recognized the signs, or the songs of the angels that led to the king! We live in the same world. The same sun and moon and planets that were there then, are here now. May you find the King!
