To support children, youth, adults and their families as they cope with grief, death and dying.
Areas of service include:
- One to one companionship and Support groups
- Training and educational seminars
- Reading and reference materials (quiet time in the library or borrowing from our resource selection);
- Public education and professional development
- Community referrals (if we can’t help, we will try to find someone who can)
Friendship can be one of the most beautiful experiences in life.
We were grateful to be present for such a special moment as a friend of over 72 years came from across the country to hold the hand of their dear friend at the end of life.

We are a week away from our Annual Holmberg Memorial Golf Tournament at Ledgeview Golf Club!

Join us for our upcoming Understanding Your Grief group starting October 22nd at Holmberg House. This caring and compassionate group meets Tuesday evenings 6:30pm-8:30pm.
This group is for adults in our community who have lost a loved one.

Our Teen Grief Peer Support Training course starts up this fall on October 16th!
Our Teen Grief Peer Support Training is a 20-hour training program that has been tailored to provide grade 11 and 12 students with a basic introduction to grief; loss; and practical hands-on skills, knowledge, and strategies to provide peer support to grieving children and teens. Following the training, students are equipped to volunteer in some capacity at Abbotsford Hospice Society. The training and volunteer opportunities may be used to satisfy the Career Exploration component of the Career Life Connections course.

We invite you to join our Infant Loss Support Group, starting on September 10th at our hospice. Our group provides a safe, compassionate space where parents can come together to share their experiences, offer support, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.
