With the help of Airshow Announcer, Ken Hildebrandt and Mike Oliver from the Erickson Aircraft Collection, the Airshow was pleased to host some special guests from GearBots STEM Program. These young Airshow fans were treated to a VIP walk-around of the vintage collection and a special tour exploring the basics of flight and how WWII aircraft design evolved over time.

Airshow weekend weather is looking sunny and warm! If you're joining us this weekend, make sure you and your family are prepared for warm temperatures:

🕶 Remember your hat & sunglasses.
😎 Sunscreen is a must! Re-apply regularly.
💦 Fill your reusable water bottle at one of several FREE water stations, courtesy of Prospera Credit Union.
☂ Small umbrellas and low-lying beach shelters make great shade devices (no pop-up tents please)

Most importantly, stay hydrated and if you do not feel well, ask your nearest St. John Ambulance First Aid attendant or Airshow Volunteer for assistance.

Joining us at the this weekend? Our friends at the Abbotsford Police Department have some tips to enjoy and safe event as a family!

📍Pick a meeting point on site that's easy for children to see and remember. Remind them where the meeting point is throughout the day.

📸Take a photo at the start of the event showing exactly what your child is wearing that day. An accurate description is critical for locating a lost child.

☎️Put your cell phone # in your child's pocket. Police can call or text you if a lost child is found.

👮‍♀️Tell your child to locate an AbbyPD officer or Airshow volunteer if they ever get lost.

Airshow practices begin today. Road closures and detours around the Abbotsford Airport will be in effect and continue through the event's conclusion on Sunday.

✈Friday's event is completely sold out.

✈Walk-in General Admission for Saturday is still available; however FEWER THAN 50 WALK-IN PARKING PASSES REMAIN. Without a Walk-in Parking pass, you will need to arrive by transit, rideshare, or walk/cycle.

✈ Sunday still has decent availability of both GA Vehicle Passes & Walk-in GA Passes.

‼ REMEMBER, NO VEHICLE PASSES WILL BE SOLD AT THE GATES. If you are arriving by vehicle you need to have a pre-purchased Carload/Vanload Pass, or a pre-purchased Walk-in Parking Pass.

✈ Be prepared for this weekend's Airshow and avoid disappointment by familiarizing yourself with the event regulations, including a few things to leave at home. Failure to comply with event regulations could result in being turned away or removed from the event.👎👎👎

❌ Pets - animals are prohibited by law on airport property. Service animals must have recognized accreditation and appropriate hearing protection.

❌Cigarettes, eCigarettes, Cannabis & V**e pens - smoking and va**ng is prohibited by law on airport property.

❌ Hard-sided/Wheeled Coolers - shoulder-carried cooler bags are ok with ice packs. Loose ice will be removed to facilitate search at entry.

❌ Outside Alcohol - don't worry, we have adult beverages available onsite.

❌ Drones - the airport is a NO DRONE ZONE by federal law.

❌ Transmitter radios - receive-only scanners are allowed.

❌ Large tents & canopies - be courteous to others around you.
