It is with a heavy heart tonight that we announce we have closed our Barrie Bistro location. It is no surprise that we have had our struggles with a series of break ins, as well as the deterioration of the location itself. We have worked hard to keep going the past two years but have made the decision that we just can’t keep operating at this location. We have out everything we have into this and just have no more to give.

We have so many great memories at our Limoncello downtown location and this is extremely heartbreaking. Hard to even write any of this. We have greeted so many faces and have welcomed so many into our Limoncello family. We are extremely grateful for the bonds that we have made. We have put our entire lives into this place and will never forget the memories that we have made. We have made the decision to put health first, after spending 10 days in the ICU there’s not much more to give. We will be back. In the meantime we will continue our catering business and services. This will not interrupt that.

The last two years we had a series of flooding, have had to operate with no heat in the winter where we lost 3 months of business and tens of thousands of dollars. We have had to pay for all structural issues in the building when the issue wasn’t part of our business. There were several tenants operating in the building. We have encountered burst pipes where water flooded through the walls and the property owners did nothing to fix any of it and just said continue on as the place fell apart. We refuse to operate at a location where there has been total neglect and the problem has been put back on us. The property owner has slandered our name by posting lies and will be dealt with legally. We refuse to have anyone tell lies publicly without defending ourselves.

We hope to see you all again in the near future. As for right now we will continue our focus on our catering services and try to take some time to heal from this. Thank you for all the great memories and support .

Good morning everyone we have some great new regarding cooking classes! Our next child/parent cooking class will be held on Sunday June 16 at 10:30AM-12:15PM

The class will be $40 per person and is open to all children under 16 years of age who have a passion for cooking. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is now open and you can pre pay your spot through e transfer to [email protected]

Hello everyone

Thank you to everyone for their comments of support. It is very much appreciated. For those asking how they can help, the best help is getting the word out so our community leaders can see the detriment this is having on business owners in downtown Barrie. It’s been incredibly difficult to operate a business when everything is being taken from us. Something needs to be done here. We have been told to relocate but that’s not so easy to do and I find it hard to swallow that I have to pick up and leave a place where 5 short years ago this wasn’t as bad as it is today. We fell in love with downtown Barrie. The waterfront, the community and the people. We as business owners shouldn’t have to leave because criminals are putting us out of business. The best support is support. Support local. Your support means everything to small business owners. Dine in and takeout and don’t let people like this ruin it for everyone. Thank you for spreading the word.
