These symptoms are often relieved by sitting or flexing forward, such as leaning over a counter or on a grocery cart. Recent evidence suggests that a combined education, hands-on manual therapy and exercise program can significantly improve pain, function and quality of life in those with leg symptoms due to lumbar spinal stenosis.

Did you know? More than 50% of young people experience at least one episode of low back pain by the time they reach their teenage years and research surrounding childhood back pain indicates that one cause may be improper use of backpacks. Chiropractors advise that school aged children should ‘pack it light and wear it right’! This means using a lightweight vinyl or canvas material backpack and only packing essentials so that the total backpack weight is not more than 10-15% of the child's body weight! It is also important to ensure the child uses both shoulder straps and adjust the backpack to fit snugly to the child's body.
If your child is experiencing back pain, consider consulting a chiropractor. They will help assess your child's specific needs and identify a care plan that’s right for them. Interns at the CMCC Bowmanville Chiropractic Clinic are equipped to assess and help treat low back pain. No referral required! For more information or to book an appointment, please call 905-419-2622 or email [email protected].
80% of adults report at least one episode of low back pain in their lifetime, and commonly these episodes of back pain are recurrent. Interns at the CMCC Bowmanville Chiropractic Clinic are equipped to help treat your low back pain, specifically in providing multimodal care! No referral required! For more information or to book an appointment, please call 905-419-2622 or email [email protected].
