We can't say everyone with aphasia has the same struggles and challenges. Aphasia affects everyone differently depending on the size and location of the stroke or brain injury.
Do people with aphasia improve?
Yes! The brain has the ability to improve due to something called neuroplasticity. This means that the brain is able to rewire itself to be able to communicate again. Rewiring the brain, however takes determination, motivation and persistence.
