Happy Founder’s Day!
Every year on 22 February, we take this opportunity to recognise the birthday of Scouting’s Founder, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, and to celebrate the lasting legacy of the Scout Movement which for over 100 years has empowered young people with the life and leadership skills to improve their communities, and create a better world.
What began with a small group of Scouts on Brownsea Island, has grown into a worldwide Movement of 57 million young people and volunteers united together by the Scout Promise, a shared set of values, and a commitment towards service.
