Very grateful for his diligence in doing justice to the beautiful masonry work and . Being in the business for 30 years, it’s difficult to get great trades when “the old ones” retire….happy to have found Mark!

Had the pleasure of working with Mark . Finding someone who is passionate and takes pride in their work is extremely important and equally important is the importance of great trades doing justice to each others work. In this case Mark exceeded my expectation (and I AM a perfectionist) on this custom home in south Burlington. So grateful for his talents and professionalism!

A weekend in Bruges, enjoying this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site - with some building dating back to the 1200’s. Impeccably maintained and never touched by any of the world Wars. I have been inspired by the Flemish architecture- the colours, the simplicity yet the striped coins and roof structures. A wonderful weekend getaway- creating more memories and timeless inspirations.

When you head to Camden for lunch with your little bestie mini me and come across this amazing restaurant even though you’re not a vegan or vegetarian but this place makes you want to be!

It finally happened! Picked up my Ford 150 Platinum Lightning yesterday! One of 5 in this allocation - the wait was worth it! All electric pick up! Can’t say enough about this vehicle and the amazing people at Kennedy Ford in Oakville! Can’t wait to take to job site- no power? No problem! The biggest surprise was how smooth riding this vehicle is- luxury “car like” but in a pick up! And wait….not another gas bill! What?!? Thanks .naccarato for being there with me every step of the way and of course for most likely being my tech guide through all the new gadgets! - you’ve done good!

Project Yeti is underway! From Fabform industries the fast foot footings providing a damp proof membrane to Amvic insulated forms - we are using the Amvic ICF R30 for extra insulative value- the foundation is taking shape- quickly! Very excited about this process and how things are shaping up! Interior Design is not just about the “inside” and the pretty stuff, it’s also having an understanding of what materials are being used during the process of construction so that your client is well informed and part of the process from the ground up. Having never built with fast foot or Amvic we took it upon ourselves to learn “how” fast form works, and did the “training videos” even though we were not doing the physical install! This gave us a heads up on “how” it’s done and answered the “why” we chose these products. More progress to share in the upcoming months! Working with a great team here at Project Yeti. The best is yet to come!

Well- after a long wait…very long wait…the bucket went in the ground and the big dig has begun! So happy for these two- .naccarato and - turning a dream into realty! Thank you CO Construction on the dig. Stay tuned for the updates on our construction and energy efficient home! intointeriors

People often ask me …”what inspires you? THIS. An early Morning sunrise and 5k walk allows me to think about projects, run ideas through my mind, and most of all reflect on the many things to be grateful for each and every day…our beautiful sun, lake, and freedom.

It’s Friday- finally! And I am not a beer drinker (1 a year) but today? This is the one , maybe my new favourite! Thanks .naccarato for the amazing treat! Almost there- out of zoning department- it’s been a long haul but I LOVE what I do and forever learning how to play game when the goal posts keep moving!

Placed my order with because they have always been committed to NO mark ups over MSRP and always given us utmost in customer service with vehicles bought from them. Been waiting since last year when reservations opened up and was one of the first in the list! Winterlit 2022! My favourite new annual event! Home made hot chocolate, homemade biscotti and a beautiful evening walk celebrating “everything”! Thank you for organizing this amazing night for us! Biggest storm of the year and our snow blower - which was just overhauled stalls!!! Won’t mention the company name - hopefully they come to fix it asap!!!

“Red skies in the morning are a sailors warning…” looks like a banger of a storm will be coming our way! Can’t wait!!! Bring on the snow!

When your contractor says “hey…I have some old wood and scrap metal out back…can you design me a rustic bar using it?” Heck yeah! Still not complete but we were able to use all the wood from an old barn that was torn down and the metal for the ceiling. Great way to recycle for the look that he wanted. At the end of the day, it’s all about the client, and was so much fun! Purely a man cave and waiting for the counter bar too to be installed.

Starting on the “reclamation” of this beauty! Circa 1951, this gem has a lot to offer. Getting our hands dirty is a great way to appreciate the value of what is hidden under the carpets and very old underpaid. 8 hours of slowly and carefully cutting and scraping to reveal some beautiful hardwood. This will be a long process but worth it in the end. As an aside, Yes…the curtains are original and well sewn with high quality fabric. More to come as we progress- DYI does not happen over night and only on weekends :)

After two weeks away, back to YVR- but oh how I would like to do the next leg! Next time!!

One of the most beautiful, oldest, and authentic wineries in this region along the Mosel River. Such a beautiful experience and although German wines had a bad wrap in the 80’s and 90’s, it’s regions like these that have focused to perfect their craft. The wines were amazing!

Highlights of Wurzburg Germany. Such a beautiful town rich in history. So happy to be travelling again- feel so safe! Yes, lots of prep pre travel but it was all worth it! Started in beautiful Prague then set sail with a few stops and here in Würzburg Germany 🇩🇪 . Touring and wine tasting some excellent wines in beautiful historical buildings. Stone, arches, and gardens never get old (no pun intended )😂

Our new acquisition! This one is a real gem - circa 1950- still solid as a rock. Always some cool surprises In these old gems and the goal is to preserve and reincarnate until you find this….a shooting range! Definitely not getting rid of this perfect piece of history 😂 , and will hone in on my marksmanship while designing! Thanks for introducing us to this “old girl” - she is going to be beautiful when done and a real sharp shooter!

Last night was they first time back for some well needed hot yoga. Practice Practice Practice. In all we do in our daily lives, a bit of “me” time is not only necessary, but very therapeutic for the body and the soul. As I placed my mat down on the warm floor, I felt overcome by joy and gratitude that I had the privilege of being vaccinated. That the ability to be with people, on my own, by myself, not knowing anyone in the room- I felt safe. Never did I ever think I would feel this way- I felt safe and felt good that I was keeping others safe. For those on the fence about vaccination- I too was afraid- as a former nurse I administered hundreds of needles and IV’s, but when I needed to get blood drawn or a needle I would have to lie down from the fear. It’s a real thing. But last night made the fear and anxiety all worth it!

We did it! Second dose done!!! Let’s goooooo!!! Doing our part! Pfizer both times! Looking forward to seeing family and friends, travelling the world, and heading aback to normal!

Hi Ho hi hi…it’s off to work I go! With my chief partner in crime . Finally able to fly again and off to our beautiful YVR!

Working from home has its perks- and a “walk out” does not have to be dark and dismal! This year I opted for some herb gardens outside the office window with a quiet sitting area for the obligatory coffee break….because we all need coffee!!! Creating layers in the design and construction allowed for tiered greenery and openness from the “basement” office. After 10 years, not always perfect, but grateful for the greenery and the sun!

Exciting zoom meeting- thank you for facilitating the reveal of these new fabrics! The fabrics are absolutely beautiful! Yeah for the rich and fabulous colours in the fabrics- coming our way! Timeless, and true- with historical influence - their design integrity has stood, and will stand, the test of time!
