Just about every day people ask what the most popular dish is in our kitchen! One of the most ordered dishes (and one of our personal favourites,) is Drunken Noodles!❤️🐯

What makes drunken noodles "drunken?"

There isn't really a definitive answer, but in Thailand this legendary dish has many urban legends surrounding its origin. In Thai, these noodles are called "pad kee mao" which translates to "drunkard stir fry."

One story is that when people are drinking you need intense spicy flavours to cut through their inebriated senses, so the dish was made to serve alongside alcohol or for after a night of drinking. ❤️✨

Another story is that the dish was invented by a woman whose husband was a drunkard, and to punish him for coming home late after too much drinking she loaded his favorite noodles with all of the chilis she had, and he loved it!

Whatever the story really is, these tasty noodles are wok fried with Thai chilis, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, topped with our house made kee mao sauce, and fresh Thai basil. We offer it in 3 different spice levels to suit your pallet, but even mild has a nice kick to it! 🐯❤️✨
