Phenomenal day for the team at ! had a phenomenal performance in his first ever tournament! executed his new signature darce beautifully! discovered his love for triangles and won both Gold and Silver in Gi and No-Gi respectively! So proud of the guys!

FINALLY! We will be heading down to this Saturday July 27th for the first ever AETHERxOBJJ event. Join us for class with Coach Dan’s Professors and plenty of rolls and shenanigans! DM for details!

Another amazing event by ! Matt, Russ, and Jan all showed up and had amazing performances in their first ever tournaments! Harvey also showed up for his second tournament and had a super fun match against after the rest of the bracket disappeared! We are so proud of all of the competitors for their dedication, performances, and sportsmanship. Looking forward to the next!

We finished off a phenomenal weekend with Charlie and Harvey’s first Jiu Jitsu tournament in Banff!!
We are so proud of the boys for throwing themselves fully into the competition! Both performance, listened, and adapted so well and we can’t wait to see their growth at the next!

24 Hours Notice! Up two weight classes!
There is nobody who can deny the pure talent and passion of Saeed Abi-Issa!
After months of being ducked and of fights falling through, Saeed proved he is not afraid of any challenge. He answered the call from us DURING weigh ins and was in the car with his entire family within 20 minutes of his opponent taking the fight!
Against a tough opponent, Saeed fought every second of the full three rounds to prove himself with a unanimous decision win!
We are so humbled by the talent and passion of this young athlete and we are so proud of the phenomenal young man he is outside of the cage!

What a phenomenal time at Havoc this past weekend!
AJ battled it out for the full three rounds and got to really display his growth as a fighter in the most perfect performance we could have hoped for.
The dedication, focus, and hard work from AJ in this fight camp were unmatchable! It was truly an honour to get to witness and support him towards this fight.
Seeing everything he invested pay off in a unanimous decision made us proud beyond belief of such a wonderful man, athlete, and sportsman! On to the next!

No other place we would rather spend our Saturdays! Coach Dan started his BJJ journey here at and makes a point to get back as often as possible! The family of Okotoks Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is second to none and we are so proud to be a part of it.
From his years here, Coach Dan credits OBJJ owners and Professors Paul and Christa for instilling in him the values and perspectives that make him the coach he is today. Two of the kindest and most giving people, we are thrilled to call them our friends and mentors!

Fun day at on Saturday. Team went 15-4 with a few draws sprinkled in. Aj won his 3rd straight purple belt absolute title (2nd in a row at dark horse). Alex ran all over brown belts but hit a wall against season black belts. Andrew and David learned tons in their white belt divisions. Getting their first subs with us. Great work team.
