Our weekend was nothing short of magical, all thanks to the extraordinary live band scarecrows! 🎸🌄
As the sun dipped below the horizon, these straw-filled musicians came to life, filling our hearts with music that seemed to resonate from the very soil beneath our feet. 🌅🪕🎤
Their melodies, rhythms, and the singer's soulful voice enchanted us all. And when they lit up like fireflies for the grand finale, it was a spectacle that left us in awe. ✨🌾

As in every major event when so many people and organizations were involved in putting together a major event like SavageFest, we sometimes miss a few thank you's:
ETS Express - for the re**er trailer - in order to transport and keep refrigerated all the beverages that was provided during SavageFest. Thank you so much.
360 Environment Solutions - garbage bins - obviously we need to keep the Rodeo location as clean and tidy as possible...thank you so much for your support.
Collicutt Siding Golf Club - the John Deere Gator - in order for SavageFest organizers to move around the Rodeo grounds quickly and efficiently - thank you for your support.
ArkTon Steel, Maxfield, & Petersen Contracting - prior to SavageFest the main building required some up keep and maintenance..this maintenance was completed efficiently and on time to allow SavageFest guests to occupy the building to enjoy the event. Excellent work thank you.
It is important to recognize these people as sometimes this important work goes unnoticed. Thank you so much for your contribution and effort to SavageFest.
Well everyone SavageFest2023 Homes For Heros Music Festival is in the books.
First, it is only appropriate we first post that we send our love and support to all those who were effected by the devastating tornado in the communities in and around Didsbury and Carstairs. The SavageFest Organizers send our thoughts and prayers.
I, Grant Straub and Brian Yorke the founders of SavageFest have a very lengthy thank you list. We hope to acknowledge everyone who supported this event but if we do miss someone we apologize.
We would like to start off by thanking the Mayor of Crossfield Kim Harris and the entire beautiful community of Crossfield. We are so honoured to have been able to bring SavageFest to your community.
The entire staff of the Crossfield Rodeo Society:
Joanne Fox
Chris & Connie Perriment
Linda Marocchi
Dezeray Fox

and special mention to Barry Woytenko owner and operator of Crossfield Big Bear's Liquor Den who supplied all the beverages for SavageFest and secured all the required licenses needed for this event.
Absolutely special thanks to Jo Tennant and the Crossfield AG Society for donating time and putting on the pancake breakfast. Thank you so much. We loved it.
Ashley Reid and all her amazing staff from Black Tie and Bourbon who did such an amazing job during the event.
Cheryl Shea for coordinating and bringing in the folks from Crossfield Farmers Market who also donated 100 percent vender fees to SavageFest.
Chantelle Devenney and her team of the Calgary Stampede who volunteer their time to bring in the Calgary Stampede Mobile Stage and to work such an incredably long day with little to no breaks. We thank you so much. This incredable support provided by the Calgary Stampede giving back to the community by providing this type of resource at no cost for events like SavageFest is absolutely increadable. Also, Michelle Doyle and Paul Toth both very good friends of mine volunteered to help out with stage management throughout this very long day....thank you so much.
Eva Kovats Hachey our raffle and prize coordinator along with Shauna Rivait, Michelle Fletcher, Michelle Boyle, Sharon O'Reilly the incredible job they did. All the various businesses, organizations and people such as Long and Mcquade music centre who has supported SavageFest by donating a guitar each year for the raffle. Thank you to all those who donated prizes for the raffle. The raffle was a huge success this year.
Shelley Miller and all her volunteers from Westjet who helped out with serving the pancake breakfast. Such amazing generous people.
Tymara Rienhart of Dream Team Printing LTD with producing all the SavageFest T-Shirts.
My very good friend Neil Cowan of Ground Force Coffee and the other food trucks:

And finally Pete Straub my dad and his wife Karen Straub for supporting SavageFest. I love you both and thanks for travelling down from Edmonton to be here.
Without financial support by our community partners events like SavageFest would simply not be possible. Thank you so much.
All my fellow Veterans who I call my brothers who stood with me and helped develop SavageFest: Cory Bardos, Simon Savage, Rob Bruce, JR Cox, Mike Owens
Ramil Vitug and so many more. From the bottom my heart. I have your six!!
Mike Rude fellow brother Veteran, incredable human being that travels our country displaying the Portriats of Honour of our fallen brothers and sisters from Afghanistan. Huge Thank you!!
My dear friend Mr. Brian Yorke...well what can I say. Another person I don't have enough space to talk about. He has stood by me from day 1 with my crazy vision weather he agreed or not to help make SavageFest a reality and did everything I asked of him and more. We share our love of music together. Another person I am proud to call my brother.
And finally my family for standing by me while I take this journey. The many hours they have stood by watching me typing, planning, texting etc etc etc while at home planning SavageFest . It takes a toll. I love you all.
A whole year of planning, building relationships and friendships to bring SavageFest to Crossfield.
To all my SavageFest family thank you from the bottom of my heart.
And of course all who attended SavageFest4 thank you so much for your support and we hope you had a great time. Please continue to support SavageFest by coming back each year and spread the word however you can. We want to continue to support Homes for Heros and all our Veterans.
