Three Phoenix alumni are playing at the Quadball National Championship! Alex and WeiShen are on the Alberta Clippers, and Michael is on the Montreal Flamingos.

Calgary quadball has been inactive since the National Championship in December, but we'll be playing and practicing outside again in the spring.

Some Phoenix players are going to Vancouver next weekend to play in Divisionals with our full-contact team, the Calgary Lightning! No practices for the next two weekends, and we're looking into possibilities for indoor practice this winter.

Quidditch practice is back! We are not yet playing games, but it's been wonderful to see our teammates again! Everyone is welcome, 10:00 am at Riley Park every Sunday.

Quidditch is still on hiatus in Alberta, but we can't wait to see you all in the gym or on the pitch again.

Quidditch Canada Fundraises for Black and Indigenous Communities Quidditch Canada has a responsibility to address anti-Black & anti-Indigenous racism. We are fundraising for 5 organizations doing work to support Black and Indigenous communities. Quidditch Canada will match $2500.00 of donations from our community.

The Phoenixes had a great time playing drop-in at the indoor Calgary Quidditch League! Our next drop-in is on Sunday, February 23 from 4-6. The first drop-in is free to new players! ($5 for returning players)

Calgary Quidditch League has announced all the dates for winter games and practices. Arrive at any of these events to learn to play and join the Phoenixes! All you need is running shoes and a $5 drop-in fee.

Practices: January 19, February 16, March 15
Games: January 26, February 9 and 23, March 8 and 22

As quite large Bulgaria fans ourselves, this loss stung. However, Viktor’s tenacity and bravery was something we all very much admired, and our team motto today has become “what would Viktor do?” (WWVD)

25 years ago, Bulgarian seeker Viktor Krum made the controversial decision to catch the Snitch and end the Quidditch World Cup final on his own terms.

The finish gave the victory to Ireland, 170-160.
