So grateful for these amazing mothers who were so patient with the warm rooms and adjusting to having to move indoors due to the smoke! Our toddlers set off on an adventure today and headed to Granary Road to explore the park! With an overcast sky to cool them down it really was a perfect trip! From trampolines to climbing playgrounds and visits with the cutest animals, these kiddos sure did have the best day ever! It is the sweetest to see the smiling happy faces on both the toddlers and their mama’s💕 Summers off to a great start for these little ones!

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful music programs in our city! Our community gets to experience them first hand and music is a great program to introduce even at a young age! ✨Hi, my name is Shannon and I am the owner and operator of Beats By The Feet in Airdrie. I run Zumbini, Zumba, and Mom & Baby exercise classes. I started this in 2022 when I was on my first maternity leave, and now I’m on my second maternity leave with my second son. ✨Hello. I’m Maria Schuba, a Certified Personal Trainer, a Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist, and a Menopause Coaching Specialist.

I’ve been instructing fitness classes and coaching women since 2011. Six years ago, I was certified as a pre and postnatal fitness specialist and a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach, a niche and focus I am very passionate of.

And now in my 50’s, I have been diving into all things about the menopause transition. Because, it is a ride, my friends.

When my son was 6 weeks old I was given the green light to go ahead and exercise. I hadn’t done too much for the previous 6 months because I had a DVT (blood clot) while pregnant and I was scared sh*tless to do pretty much anything. His birth was pretty traumatic with a few issues that called for forceps, vacuum and an episiotomy. But at the 6 week mark, I wanted to MOVE, so I joined a mom & baby bootcamp and I started running. I look back now and give my head a shake.

But I realize that experience has shaped where I am now and has pointed me in this direction to coach pregnant and postpartum people.

I’m here to guide you through this journey. To help you navigate what you can and perhaps shouldn’t do. What will help you through your prenatal aches and pains and what will help you with your postpartum recovery. To help you get back to doing what you love. SAFELY.

I coach and train women on how an active life, pre and post baby, can relate to an easier pregnancy, delivery and recovery.

I provide support and guidance during the menopause transition, helping you navigate the physical changes that come with menopause.

I teach perimenopausal women the importance of strength training, mobility work and conditioning and how they can make the day to day movements easier. And can help you move with ease into the future!

I help women gain strength, build confidence and get back to doing what they love.

Shannon Hamel of is a mom of one and a certified pediatric sleep consultant. Shannon is a lover of sleep and hugely passionate about helping other families become well rested. Her journey as a sleep consultant was inspired after experiencing months of sleepless nights and sleep deprivation with her daughter. The lack of sleep paired with anxiety and being a first time mom was so overwhelming. Seeking out support and discovering that her child could sleep well changed her life and she knew she wanted to help support other families on their sleep journeys too.

These classes are so important to bring in to our community as postpartum depression is real and comes in many shapes and forms. We are so thankful to have registered psychologists to educate the mothers on the resources available to them! We take a break from this topic in the summer to bring in more activity based classes but we can’t wait to welcome back in our fall classes! Keep reading to learn more about Maigan! Maigan is a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping families and individuals thrive! Since becoming a mom herself (to both her son and twin daughters), Maigan has noticed the important role that therapy can play in helping parents and their young ones get through the ups and downs that life can bring, particularly in the perinatal period (pregnancy, postpartum) and the early years of parenting.

Maigan has over 17 years of mental health experience, and utilizes various modalities in her work with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, plus has additional training in perinatal mental health, parent-child attachment work, formalized psychological assessments, and neurodiversity.
