🧸 A child’s work is their play 🚂
Play-based therapy allows you to relate to your child by meeting them where they are at, and using their interests to make progress on their therapy goals! There’s more to play than meets the eye.
Anxiety and depression can coexist. They share common risk factors and characteristics. Reaching out for help makes you strong, not weak. Contact us today for more information about counseling.

There are many reasons why your child may be a picky eater. They may not have to core strength to support themselves to sit and eat which can effect eating habits. They also have sensory concerns, poor oral motor awareness/strength, or even past trauma from vomiting a specific food, choking, or previous feeding tube experience.
Consult with an Occupational Therapist to help you and your child with their picky eating habits because there may be more to it than you think!
Attention! There are many reasons WHY your child may not be paying attention.
💤 Are they getting enough sleep?
👀 Are their eyes working together?
💪🏽 Are their bodies unable to provide the adequate support for them to even sit up properly?
🧠 Are they having difficulties with processing sensory information?
Poor attention can be many things so it’s important to educate yourself or get an assessment to understand what the challenges may be!

Her personal experience left an impression on how speech pathology can radically change lives, igniting her desire to become a SLP and give back to her community!
We are excited to have her join our team!

Language activities don’t have to be complicated! They can be as simple as going for a bike ride or playing catch in the back yard. Children need to move their little bodies, so why not enhance their language skills while you’re at it!
Let us know what outdoor activities your family enjoys to do!

🇨🇦 Happy Victoria Day 🇨🇦
Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and is able to spend some time seeing family and friends, or enjoying some personal time!
Make books fun and come alive! Keep your child engaged while reading a book by using these 4 tips 💡
1 Position your child facing you so they can see your facial expressions and mouth while reading the book.
2 You don’t have to read all the words (all the time) instead highlight key or important words!
3 Make noises and sounds such as “weee, ooooh, moo, meow” to make the book more engaging.
4 Pretend to do what you see in the book! “Feed” your stuffed animals, or touch the sun in the book and say “ohhh hot hot” to make the book more interactive.
Reading books important for language development and gaining knowledge. Find time in your day, maybe while waiting for the oven to preheat, or make bedtime reading a routine thing!
⚡️Is your child not initiating with you?⚡️
Children sometimes simply don’t know how to initiate or how to play. Let’s teach them!
Follow these simple strategies to promote engagement and initiation with your child!
