CLAY THERAPY PART 2, Cambridgeshire, UK
What a great three days we've just had! We laughed, and cried - sometimes almost at the same time!
As we touched and worked the clay we felt moved, aghast, angry, indignant, forgiving, but most importantly, real! Authenticated took on a new meaning in this world that seems to becoming virtual!
What a joy to work with such wonderful colleagues and we can't wait to meet again for Part 3 in December.

SPIRIT HOUSE had fallen into a poor state and needed rebuilding, so with side set aside to do this I carefully took it all apart and recreated it. I find it a beautifully impermanent feature in a quiet garden spot.
It never ceases to bring a smile to my face for nature holds such simple beauty. Just wanted to share this. Hope you like it!
Time for a break out in the heart of the Norfolk countryside - one of my favourite area to chill, enjoy walking Indie and swim in natural places whilst enjoying the August time sun.
Hoping you're making time for a break too. Thus year it's been a few mini breaks which I really like.

An inspirational group of practitioners has just completed the CLAY CONVERSATIONS AWARD programme.
Each participant embraced the programme in their own way and describe amazing ways that they will offer or are already offering to support others in maintaining healthy levels of emotional well-being.
It is such a privilege to see such progress in so many unique situations.

What an amazing moon last night!
Even though it's not a full moon yet I still found myself watching it for ages as I turned my thoughts to our ancestors who would have been incredibly fascinated by such a sight too. Ah! The wonder of the natural world!
CLAY THERAPY TRAINING, PART 1
I've just spent a weekend with a terrific group of people who were so, so eager to learn further skills in working with clay to enhance their therapeutic provision.
The responsiveness within the group was exhilarating for me as the trainer when we began to deepen our process and today I'm chilling out and I hope they too can take things a little easier. The day after a working weekend leaves us in place of much wondering!
I'm very much looking forward to seeing the group again towards the end of August. This time we meet in person.

Thrilled that my clay therapy training and writing has been acknowledged as an important medium in the Play Therapy world by PTUK yesterday at the Annual Conference held in East Sussex, and proud to be nominated as an Ambassador - what an honour it feels and what a beautiful bouquet to be presented with!

PTUK Conference 2024, Just such a fabulous event at East Sussex National Spa today.
Loved presenting my clay workshop to a warmly, energetic and interested group of play therapists - so rewarding working with trainee, qualified and senior therapists supporting children's emotional development.
Time now to chill and reflect on the experience.
Glorious rhododendrons brought Friday morning into focus after the downpours of yesterday.
Happy Weekend doing what you want to do!
Blue is getting on a bit, just over 35 years old now he tells me! He's hurt his leg and has a little 4-legged friend being kind to him but his physical pain is affecting his mental health at present.
SO MUCH IMPACTS OUR MENTAL HEALTH - Let's remember this during Mental Health Awareness week.
Blue, really is this Teddy bear's name - Blue by name and blue in feelings today! 💙
Please give a little thought and help where you can to those struggling with life. Thank you for kindness goes a long way. 😘
What a marvelous sight this old plane was as it flew over my garden just now, dipping it's wings as it flew off.
The history of aviation is fascinating but when models of these planes are used in my sandplay therapy work I'm only too aware of the defender/attacker notions and sll that goes with this.
However, I enjoyed the experience of thr plane saluting the chairity Fun Run event just coming to a close - that was quite special!
Here's a sight not often seen! The sheer beauty of wild bluebells gently swaying in the breeze around Rutland Reservoir blew my breath away today!
I'm happiest when playing with clay!
I just love this earth clay stuff. I find soil colours fascinating. Think I must have been a geologist in a past life!! Maybe I could train to be one hey!
CLAY CONFERENCE LAST WEEKEND
Almost a week later, here we are with some lovely photographs from the spectacular event.
We simply needed to savour the experience, enjoy the great networking times we had and just take time to reflect, as we come back down to earth before posting kuch on social media.
Is the Clay Therapy & Clay Conversations Community planning anything else, we were asked? We certainly are! Details to be released in the autumn!

ADOLESCENT WELL-BEING SUPPORT ENHANCED WHEN USING CLAY.
Oliver Neary works predominantly with young men exhibiting anti-social behaviour and he believes they are more likely to express themselves and explore their emotions, more deeply when they are engaged in the arts, especially using the medium of clay.
I'm delighted that Oliver is presenting his work at the 'Round and About Clay Conference' in Peterborough, UK, during March 2024.
