Our clients Chandra and George came into our shop with a very unique request to add elephant hair into gold wedding bands. After hearing the beautiful story behind the elephant hair we knew we wanted to make these rings exactly like they invisioned. These wedding bands have so much love and sentimental value attached to them with the embedded elephant hair and the added inner rose gold on the husbands ring for his to match his new bride.

Here is a brief story behind the elephant hair.

Chandra's Dad (now deceased) was one of the Sri Lankan that came to the Philippines. Her father donated Maali ( at that time a 3 year old baby elephant) for him to be situated and taken care of at the Manila Zoo during the Marcos regime. Throughout the years the elephant became part of Chandra's childhood as she would visit him weekly to feed him bananas and visit her friend. Maali is now 50 years old and when he hears Chandra's voice calling him he will come to the centre of the sanctuary and raise his trunk.

Chandra, wanted to have something of the Sri Lankan culture and a memory of her father throughout her marriage. She now shares a sentimental connection with her father and now husband through these beautiful rings.
