These last few year has been tumultuous for many small local businesses and families and, as the season of giving moves closer, it is important to be mindful of where we spend our money and the expectations we put on ourselves and others when it comes to gift giving! ⛄️

This year is it even more important to:

🏘 support the businesses in our community to keep them here for years to come!

🌍 to shop sustainably and acknowledge the huge impact that buying mountains of new things has on the environment!

My husband and I are chasing big things and making moves to Kelowna, BC 🌄 and I’m bringing Endangered with me!

To all of my loyal and wonderful YEG area customers, I LOVE YOU and will miss seeing your beautiful faces at markets and out in the world 🥰

I will still be supplying you with the brightest vintage I can find 🌈 but unfortunately there will be no YEG pickup option and you’ll have to ship (only $15)!

✨ “You look like a 12 year old girl!” ✨

This has been given to me as a comment and a compliment (I think) a handful of times in the last few weeks.

I’ve been dressing in brights and florals! I’ve been wearing cute flowy dresses and skirts that are playful and light!

Even though some of these comments likely come from a place of judgement and disapproval - I mean I am a 32 year old woman - to me it means I’m in the exact right spot with what I’m wearing and the energy I’m carrying myself with.

Think of when you were 12.
Remember how you dressed?
It was that perfect sweet spot where you could still wear bright, patterned, stand out looks and weren’t worried about fit, or how “flattering” it was or what other people thought of it.
Truly a sweet spot.
12 year olds wear what they like, what is comfortable and aren’t afraid to show their personality in their outfits!

As we get older, we start worrying more about what’s flattering, what is functional and dressing how we are “supposed to” for our age.
And usually that sucks the fun, colour and joy out of our closets!

So maybe this year we DITCH what the grown up versions of ourselves think we SHOULD be wearing,
and instead wonder:
What would I wear if no one was around to have an opinion or influence on it?

✨Mine is BRIGHTS, FLORALS, FLOWY, DREAMY SKIRTS & DRESSES!🌈

It means THIS GIRL (me, Paige! Hi!) is done her beautiful grown up job for 2 months & is full time Endangered Paige once again! 🥳

Our only pause will be for me to marry the love of my life in my very gorgeous, very thrifted wedding dress! ❤️ But I’ll bring you along for that too 😘
