Everyone knows that Fall can get real busy and sometimes (like these chilly temperatures), it just sneaks up on you! 😅 Our exclusive Absence and Makeup Program helps you stay flexible, even when life and plans and being a parent gets a lil crazy.

If your kiddo can't attend their class for any reason, simply login to Homebase and mark them as absent. When you're ready, just go back and book your kiddo in for a makeup class! Easy breezy 💜

It's National Sports Day, GoPlayers! 🏆 We love everything about sports, from cheering on our favourite teams to watching kiddos grow in confidence through fun activities and play. If you can't attend a class for any reason, you can just mark your kiddo as 'absent' up to one hour before the scheduled start time! After that, you can just make up any sessions when it works best.

Meet Head Coach Cohen! 👋

Head Coach Cohen is a calm and charismatic coach that you can catch doing cartwheels on the field by day, the “floss” or “griddy” by afternoon, and playing his favourite sport at night! 🕺

He has been playing since before he could walk and has also picked up as his Summer sport over the last few years! When he’s taking a break from that active lifestyle, he is flexing his brain muscles to become an engineer! 🤓

Hear what Coach Cohen had to say about his love for coaching: "I love being in an influential role where I am part of a kiddo’s growth! Being active is so important to me, and I think a coach can make or break that initial experience – so I love to be part of their learning while being active myself and leading by example! When a kid’s biggest worry is what colour ball they get, it reminds you of the little things in life and how they can just go out and enjoy themselves everyday!"

We know you want a Coach Cohen fun fact! "I love numbers and math but do not enjoy English class. Maybe that’s why What Time Is It Mr. Wolf is my favourite game." 🕒🐺

Exciting news! 🤩 We're teaming up with the amazing Edmonton Playgrounds to take over some of the coolest playgrounds in Edmonton! 🛝 Our coaches will be running fun games and activites as part of the amazing Come Out and Play event on Saturday, August 31 at Mary Finlay Park from 2pm-3:30pm.

This awesome annual Edmonton Playgrounds Crawl event is in support of Edmonton's Food Bank, so we kindly ask that you donate what you can to help those in need 🫶 If you can't make it to Come Out and Play, you can bring donations to your final GoPlay! sessions over the next week, and we'll bring them to Mary Finlay Park.

Meet Coach Prab 👏 Coach Prab is not only our Care Bear coach that loves hugs, she also loves an active lifestyle for herself! When she isn't reading, sketching, or watching a movie, Prab spends her free time anywhere in the mountains! In her words, "Any day that I can make a trip down to Banff or Jasper, I'm on my way for a hike!" We love the balanced lifestyle Coach Prab has!

Coach Prab loves coaching as she believes it is an opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower the next generation. When asked about coaching, she said:

"Coaching not only allows me to make a positive impact on others' lives but it also provides me with the opportunity to make meaningful relationships, understand different perspectives, and continuously learn myself. I love working with kids because they keep me grounded and provide a simple perspective to things. Their joy and enthusiasm is contagious, and it makes working with them that much more enjoyable! Forming a bond with kiddos and watching them grow is super rewarding."

Meet Coach Jacob! 👏 Coach Jacob is a master of high-fives AND an all-star athlete! He LOVES and the most as he grew up playing them, but Coach Jacob also enjoys , and anything active! We love the life-long sporty lifestyle Coach Jacob has!

Coach Jacob enjoys coaching because he can pass on his knowledge and passion for sports. He believes "kids are really what keeps the world running and joyful” and works hard to create a positive experience for kids of all ages.

FUN FACT: Coach Jacob loves raccoons and thinks their colouring makes them look like ninjas! 🦝🥷

It's National Soccer Day, GoPlayers! ⚽ Did you know that Soccer is the most popular sport in the whole world? 🌎 We love the beautiful game here at GoPlay!, and it's great seeing children channel their inner Sinclair and Alphonso Davies. Playing soccer boosts communication, coordination and the importance of teamwork, so it's no wonder GoPlay! kiddos get such a kick (👀) out of it!
