We had a great time at this weekend!

We’ll be closed on Monday but we’ll be back well rested and ready to party on Tuesday for customer appreciation day and our 33rd birthday party!!!!!! 🎈 🥳🌭

Sadly, the season for fresh stonefruit and berries is starting to wind down, but we’re excited for the autumn harvest to start rolling in! Expect to see some interesting varieties of squash in the upcoming weeks, and… the wait is over! Leffers carrots are back! Corn on the cob, cute mini peppers, and more in store now. 🌽 🍎 🥕

We’re turning 33!!! 🎂 🎈 Celebrate with us on September 3rd from 1-7pm in the parking lot where we’ll be hosting another clothing swap/free market and serving up hot dogs, green onion cakes, and birthday donuts. Bring your unwanted items to trade in for new ones, or just come on by to browse the selection of free stuff!! September 3rd is also customer appreciation day so you can enjoy 10% off everything in the store! Thanks for getting us through 33 years. 💚

Possibly the best thing ever..., on Monday night (August the 12th), join us for a unique event in Ritchie park, The Night of the Long table. A sweet time to come together and share a meal (potluck). A wee little fundraiser in support of Earth's General Store, but primarily, a great way to eat together on a summer night.

Are you passionate about ethical business practices and environmental sustainability? The Ethical Community Organizations of Edmonton (ECOE) is a non-profit organization in Edmonton, Alberta with a focus on ethical succession planning. ECOE's mission is to support community-oriented ethical and environmental businesses in transitioning from owner-operated to sustainable long-term enterprises.

ECOE currently acts as the governing body of Earth's General Store (EGS), an iconic non-profit grocery store that has been a leader in Edmonton for offering sustainable and ethical options over the last 30 years. As a community-driven organization, the EGS team is dedicated to creating access to high quality vegetarian, bulk, and local food despite the many challenges facing small, local businesses.

We are seeking new team members to join the ECOE Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. This is a one-year volunteer position where you will guide the strategic direction and the sustained growth and impact of EGS and its community-oriented projects.

We’ve got: broccolini, yellow zucchini, and spring shallots from California, Rainier cherries from Washington, cotton candy grapes from Mexico, purple kohlrabi from BC, and from Reclaim Farm just outside the city, red spring onions, French breakfast radishes, arugula, and squash blossoms.
