This week (May 6-12th) and the month of May are Mental Health Awareness in Canada. Having suffered from anxiety, depression, anorexia/bulimia, and suicidal ideation in the past, awareness of mental health is a very high priority for me. In fact, it is one of the main reasons I became a life, health, and spiritual coach, and why I now teach mindfulness and emotional intelligence classes. I never want to see anyone enduring the same kind of suffering I was going through, and I now know that a lot of my suffering was because I was unaware of my thoughts, believed I was my thoughts, and had a lot of guilt and shame because of my thoughts.
These countless, relentless thoughts kept me up at night, and having no rest made my mental health worse. Suffering from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, the physical pain along with the mental pain was enough to almost have me choose to end my life. I am beyond grateful that I had a beautiful moment, which I believe was a spiritual awakening, in which my thoughts stopped and I was blessed with what felt like a warm blanket being wrapped around me. I suddenly felt safe, comforted, loved, and a deep sense of peace that I had never experienced before. This moment offered me great clarity and awareness of my thoughts and how they affected me on every level of my health (mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually). It was in that moment which I began to live my life in Presence, began to heal, and had a whole new zest for life.
Since that day, over two years ago, my life has changed exponentially and I know that it is because I live in Presence, no longer regretting the past and constantly worrying about the future. And, it is now my heart's desire to share with others the beauty of living in the NOW. That is why I provide weekly free classes on mindfulness.

One of my dear friends is offering a beautiful Banya Ceremony and I want to extend the invitation on his behalf, as I have found these types of ceremonies to be very beautiful for my mind, body, and soul and I would love for you to experience this as well.

I want to invite you to experience an Evening Banya Ceremony on Saturday, April 27 from 7-10 PM with myself and our fellow brothers and sisters. The intention of this experience is to deeply connect to your authentic self , cleanse and leave behind what no longer serves you in a presence of like-minded men and women.

The Banya Ceremony:

This powerful therapy has been used for centuries to achieve physical, mental and emotional healing. Using the combination of heat,steam and cold helps to reduce stress, boost the immune system, and promote overall well-being. In essence, the Banya Ceremony serves as a self-cleaning tool that can help you heal on multiple levels.

During the ceremony, an outdoor steam tent infused with essential oils is utilized to create a warm and soothing environment from the wood burning stove.

To further enhance the healing experience, gentle skin lashing is administered using a wad of oak tree branches, or venik, which is mixed with or eucalyptus leaves to nourish and rejuvenate your skin and stimulate the energy channels of the body. Also known as an acupuncture meridians.

The ceremony concludes with cold immersion, which provides a powerful contrast to the heat therapy for your revival.

Light snack and special herbal tea are provided, specifically chosen to complement your overall healing process.

Robert has been serving humanity in the healing arts for 30 years. He has been Registered Massage Therapist since 1994 and teaching Massage Therapy and Body, Mind, Spirit Connection workshops since 2004.
He has studied numerous different modalities from Meditation, Reiki, Acupressure, Rebirthing,Consegrity,
Myofascial Tree, Hanna Somatics, Somatic Experiencing,Wim Hoff method, Sacred ceremonies, therapeutic use of Psychedelics in healing and understanding trauma and currently he is studying Transformational Self Love Therapy.

He strongly feels that we are divine beings who are just waking up to their true nature and walking each other home. The single most important relationship in our lives is connection to the Self.

In this busy world, we often value DOING more than BEING. Society defines success as someone busy and productive rather than valuing the beauty of simply BEING. The question may arise, "How do we BE more than DO?" Let's pause for a moment to consider this. When we quiet our minds through conscious breath, meditation, and awareness we connect to our inner BEING. When we get out of our heads and thoughts and into our hearts, wisdom and creativity arise. When we take inspired action from a place of stillness, our intuition guides us and we are given the signs that are meant for us to take action on. When we live from this place of momentum, as opposed to what the ego thinks SHOULD BE DONE, we learn to trust in the power of intention and guidance from the Universe and we live more authentic, soul-based journeys. Ladies, please join me for a rejuvenating journey of self-discovery and conscious awareness on Monday, February 19th at 12:00 PM (this week's class as well as next week's are being changed to noon for personal reasons) on the rooftop of the Vista Sunset Building, Isla de Piedra. 🏝️
✨ Immerse yourself in a unique blend of mindful movement, music, guided meditation, and other mindful activities. 🧘‍♀️ Let the tranquility of Stone Island be the backdrop to your journey towards inner peace and well-being.
