Our biggest fundraiser of the year is just a few days away, and your support is crucial!

Sign up for one, or two, volunteer shifts at PCE’s December Casino Fundraiser, and help us raise up to $120,000 in just 3 days – these funds will ensure we can continue providing an accessible community space and critical programming to q***r Edmontonians and newcomers in 2024.

No experience is necessary, all volunteers will be trained prior to the start of their shift and there are many different positions available, with a variety of duties. We are specifically aiming to fill more shifts on December 24 and 25.

PCE will cover the cost of travel and childcare, and Pure Casino will provide each volunteer with a delicious meal from their restaurant.

Sign up via our website: https://pridecentreofedmonton.ca/news/volunteer

Questions can be directed to [email protected] as we do not monitor DMs or comments.

*Please note: volunteers must be 18+ years old at the time of the casino. Volunteers can work more than one shift, but will be assigned the same role as per AGLC requirements*

We thank all those who volunteer in advance, and look forward to spending the holidays together.

The Pride Centre of Edmonton (PCE) is recruiting volunteers for an exciting holiday event – join our board members and dedicated community members at Pure Casino on December 23, 24, and 25 (tentative), 2023 for our Casino Fundraiser.

This fundraising event is a hugely important source of income for PCE! In just a few days, we have the opportunity to raise approximately $80,000 to $120,000 – but we cannot do it alone. We need a fantastic team of volunteers who are willing to donate their time to raise funds that will go towards rent and utilities on our community space and sustaining critical programs. The Centre’s capacity is at an all time low yet, with the current political climate and cross-country rallies like 1 Million March for Children, we are experiencing a dramatic spike in q***r youth and people seeking asylum looking for support and access to life-saving services.

No experience is necessary but volunteers MUST BE 18+ years old at the time of the casino. Free meals and ample snacks will be provided! If you are interested in donating your time, please fill out the required information in the sign up form via our website and you will be contacted before the end of October to confirm scheduling!

https://pridecentreofedmonton.ca/news/volunteer/

Like and share this post to spread the word – the more the merrier. We know the holidays can be difficult for folks, and while our goal is supporting PCE, we'd like this event to be a space that fosters connection and support.

Photos from Pride Centre of Edmonton's post 10/14/2023

Happy Pride Month!

Pride Month is a time for us to come together in Love, Solidarity, and Celebration.

Let us honour the struggles of q***r people by creating spaces of acceptance where everyone can embrace their true selves without fear or judgment. Together, we can build a future where all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals can live with dignity, equality, and PRIDE.

Happy Agender Pride Day!

Together we can create a future where all identities are honoured, where diversity is celebrated, and where everyone can live peacefully and authentically.

Did you know?

The agender pride flag was created by Salem X (she/they) in 2014. It has seven horizontal stripes: black and white represent an absence of gender, gray represents the partial presence of gender, and the single green stripe at the center of the flag represents nonbinary genders or anyone who doesn't identify with the traditional gender spectrum.
