The weather was beautiful for our annual Summer Family BBQ! The Duplex residents and their families enjoyed a wonderful evening of live music, great food and even better company!
Today Strathcona Heritage house residents enjoyed the Summer wrap up party, complete with popcorn, ice cream floats music, Caricatures and a dunk tank.
Residents at CapitalCare Strathcona enjoyed our annual petting zoo today. Due to the poor air quality outside, the petting zoo came in. Thank you to Chicken John's Petting Zoo for making it happen, and to our CapitalCare Foundation for supporting wonderful events like these.
Strathcona heritage house residents got creative and painted the beach and got our feet wet to make footprints in the sand. We also made a handprint canvas, lots of laughs and fun was had by all.
CHOICE South Olympians gathered to compete in games that worked to challenge their rehabilitation and recovery goals. CHOICE South clients from across the rehabilitation programs were able to test their skills in events like the Floor is Lava and Track and Tongs, after taking the Olympic oath in the opening ceremony of course. Congrats to all the competitors!

CapitalCare Lynnwood recently celebrated the summer Olympics with a Paris themed party. The event was a delightful blend of French culture and Olympic excitement offering our residents an opportunity to enjoy delicious macaroons, flavored coffee and festivities.
Strathcona Heritage house residents took part in the summer Olympics competing in bean bag toss, target practice, archery, and fishing. Closing games and ceremonies will be held on Thursday.
HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY PATRICK!!!๐๐๐Laurier House residents from Capital Care Strathcona, enjoyed celebrating Patrick's milestone birthday. Patrick wanted to include staff and residents from Laurier House to join him in eating his birthday cake. He told his daughter "I want a cake with lots of shamrocks on top a true proud Irish man โ 7 out of his 8 kids attended and served his cake to residents. His Daughter's and Son's also enjoyed sitting with other residents while indulging in cake how special is that. Let's see if we can get 100 likes for Patrick๐๐
Todayโs Parrot Show at CapitalCare McConnell Place North was a soaring success. Our residents were captivated by Captain Jackโs colorful feathers and the birdโs funny tricks. What an awesome day!

Kipnes Centre for Veterans Adult Day Program had the best day with Chicken John's Petting Zoo! Full of snuggles and hugs from the cutest little babies.
Its Christmas in July at Laurier House at Capital Care Strathcona๐ Residents enjoyed their themed Christmas bingo hour while drinking some festive iced peppermint hot chocolate's. There were also a few prizes on our prize cart to go with our theme!

CapitalCare Dickinsfield residents had a wonderful afternoon last week when Chicken John's Petting Zoo came for their annual visit! We loved watching and cuddling with all of the adorable animals, even if the heat did keep us inside.
