I used to be a people pleaser👇🏼

Not long a go, I was the girl
that would always say…
“Well, what do YOU want to do?”
“What ever makes you happy”
I realized some of my people pleasing habits was because I was scared 😳 of the outcome, if I spoke up.
Scared 🙈I’d be judged or let someone down
However,
It was when I noticed…
I lived in constant state of 😰
That something had to change…
I started to let go of the judgement and reminded myself
It’s ok 😌to put myself first
to protect my peace ✌🏽
Life isn’t about finding yourself…

Busy mind 🙉 exhausted body 😮💨
Do you ever feel so exhausted but your mind is finding every reason why you “should” or “need” to be busy? 👇🏼
It’s something I’ve learned over the years and through therapy…
That just because our mind says we need to do a lot or stay busy. Most of the time it’s an old habit or trauma response to stay busy.
For me, NOT being busy brought up discomfort…
“Im not valuable if I don’t stay busy”
Or
“I’m only worthy if I get things done”
I use to believe this and would overwork myself.
I became this version of myself I didn’t like to see.
She was bitter, short temper, grumpy and completely disconnected… I could barely remember what I did all day because my mind was just chattering away, demanding me of things.
It had to stop 🛑
I chose to slow down 💚 and be present
How?
I had to learn little by little, month by month on what it felt like to slow down and truly sit pass the discomfort of mind telling me
“I should be doing something” lalalala I’m not listening 🙉
I chose to read a book, sit in the bath, or even just sit and listen to music or simple Pilates.
Reminding myself
“I’m still worthy and valuable
even when I want to rest”
Even if that meant the house was dirty, laundry had to be done, and dishes were dirty.
I chose to take care of my body first and remind my busy mind to slow down 💛❤️💙💜

WHY DOES BEING IN SHAPE MAKE ME FEEL LIKE MY LIFE IS SO CONTROLLED
I remembering OBSESSING over my goal of “being shape”
Then getting consumed🤯🤯🤯 I had to check off all the boxes in order to get there
After all my certifications, coaches, and life experiences for the past 12 years
I realized something 😌
It was getting clear on my
❤️Values
❤️Desires
❤️Needs and wants
BEFORE I stepped into my GOALS
👉🏻I feeling good in my body
👉🏻I going out with my friends
👉🏻I value and desire by doing things that are fun and relaxing
I had to get to know my 🙏of needs and wants that filled my cup up
In order 👇🏼
To be consistent with staying in shape
In my ✨coaching programs
as much as we feel a good diet and a good workout is important
it’s even more important to me that I get to know you on a personal level, you expressing your desires, seeing where your inner mind and body need support
so that when making a change with your health goals become more 😊exciting and consistent

After going through an intense time last year.
I really understood that telling someone
“Well just say NO”
“You don’t have to do that”
From a point of you
It was engrained in me 😩
I didn’t know HOW or WHEN to say no
… only when it was TO LATE
For me it wasn’t easy to just say “no” or have my needs come first.
I had this deep FEAR and narrative in my mind that I wouldn’t be GOOD ENOUGH if I didn’t help
or it was
“my responsibility” to help
The narrative was also attached to my
Me, in need of helping someone or something meant
“See Chantel you are worthy of something”
HOWEVER 👇🏼
I over did it…
I stoped taking care of my needs and wants because of this ATTACHMENT
Last year was constant wake up calls to take CONTROL of this response, notice it wasn’t serving me anymore and
LET IT GO 😮💨
I was sick and depleted to the point I had to stop working, go to see a dr and be pushed that I need to come first.
The beauty in this though 🌈
is I’ve gotten more clear on what I really VALUE in life
After many tears, therapy, journaling, and time alone
I’ve blossomed 🌸 my out of this fear and ready to visit the world again with a new perspective
LAUGHTER being one my needs and welcoming it back in my life
Me deepening my roots 🌳

And like what I’ve said over and over it’s MORE then just food and working out, to be “healthy”
It’s also learning to of what is making you sick from the inside out
Adapting to this belief
has what healed me from 🌿IBS, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, eczema, bladder infections, and every day stomach pain and bloating.
A sense of freedom ☀️

Boundaries, everyone needs them 👇
However,
As a parent, sometimes we feel everyone else “NEEDS” come before we can relax.
That leaves you more burnt out and irritable 😩😰
Which isn’t healthy for our kids or for us
As parents, what does setting boundaries look like? 👇
One ☝🏼 thing I’ve learned as a parent, Daxton is like a sponge and watches us on how we take care of ourselves
When I feel exhausted mentally, emotionally 😭 or physically, I need to include Dax on how important it is to acknowledge
“I’m exhausted.”
or
“I’m tapped out.”
And how to rejuvenate yourself back to good health.
Lately, I’ve been telling him
🌱“I’m noticing I’m feeling frustrated with something; I will read a book and take a bath.”
🌱“I'm noticing I’m feeling overwhelmed. Can you please let my mom have some quiet time (that means no talking), so I can clear my thoughts”
I communicate the feeling and the action to him so he understands that my behaviour isn’t his or his fault and that it’s my responsibility to check-in and take care of myself.
It’s even important to me to communicate what state I am with Ross ❤️ so we can respect each other.
😭But what if they DON’T respect or understand you? 😩🙃😣😤😰
