Float House Edmonton

An example of my bliss-fueled journey in physical form is our hexagon wall, and it brings me much happiness to know that over the last 7 years, thousands of floaters have crossed through it to explore their own bliss in our lil' peace playground (is that a good way to describe a float centre? 😋)

My design intention was to create a symbolic threshold of sorts, and I was hoping the wall would act like some type of extra energetic "portal" every time floaters stepped through.

If you have never experienced it yourself or maybe it's been awhile, passing through this wall to go for a float is a pretty awesome thing to explore 🌞

Do you see signs in your life?

Floating around full moons 🌝 can really up-level / amplify / enhance the experience of some floaters. If you find yourself sensitive to the Moon's energy, maybe you can touch some of this "serenity" captured in this beautiful art piece.

I took a photo of this art years back and just stumbled upon it tonight, and being the eve of a lunar eclipse, it seemed worth a share.

Been a bit quiet on here recently, so I thought it would share an update...

First one is the sixth float cabin project. I am playing with a few upgrades to the cabins and an improved soundproofing platform, so it may take a month or two to get this cabin up and running. If all goes to plan, I'll slowly be upgrading all the float rooms over the next year - stay tuned.

Cabin one has been down and should be back up and running this week. I've done many repairs on these cabins and this particular repair has always intimidated me, so I am quite happy to say I've successfully changed my first ever spa pack 🤙

Our building flooded again last Sunday and miraculously, our space managed to get very little water damage this time around compared to our neighbors. We were forced to close for the one day, but are back open again.

On a personal note and after a four year hiatus, I managed to sneak in a day trip to Marmot. Despite being a bit taxed from all the happenings, it was very nourishing to my spirit and the post-snowboarding float was wonderful ☺

While we understand that some people would like us to adopt the Restrictions Exemption Program, a core intention of our retreat centre is to be a consistently safe and clean space for absolutely everyone in our community to leverage the power of floating to uplift one's wellbeing. This experience of COVID has impacted all of our lives in so many ways, and we feel it is essential for our space to be accessible to anyone needing a moment to rest, relax, reset, recharge, reconnect and do all the amazing things floating has to offer.
