REFLEXOLOGY 101 🦵

Reflexology is a complementary health therapy involving the application of pressure to specific points on the feet. By stimulating these reflexes, the blood and nerve supply is increased to where the body needs it most.

The number of treatments you will need depends on your ailment or condition, how long you have had it and what you are hoping to achieve.

If you are focused on a specific health issue, it is recommended that you have sessions two weeks apart or even weekly for a month or two, then monthly as a maintenance programme.

However, the frequency of treatments are entirely up to you and your own personal preference. It might be once per week, once per month or even once per year.

Ashley Rechik- Massage Therapist

Ashley was born and raised in Arborg, Manitoba. After graduating highschool she attended the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba from which she graduated in January 2015. Ashley is trained in Relaxation and Therapeutic massage, Cupping, Hot Stone, CranioSacral Level 1, Aroma-Touch and is completing her training to be an Infant Massage Instructor.

In her free time she loves to spend time with loved ones, be in the outdoors and volunteers with Ducks Unlimited Manitoba.

Andrea Klassen- Registered Massage Therapist
After years of relying on massage therapy to keep her “in the game”, Andrea decided to leave a career in IT to follow her passion and become a Registered Massage Therapist. She graduated from Wellington College in 2016 and since then has worked in fitness facilities as well as started a home-based practice.
To better serve her clients, she has taken supplementary training in a number of areas including acupuncture, cupping, TMJ (jaw) dysfunction, breast massage, CranioSacral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Care. In addition to massage, Andrea also offers acupuncture, reiki, cupping and paraffin wax treatments.

Graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1997, Alison has more than 25 years experience as an RMT. Her career path has taken her to many places in Canada as well as the Caribbean.

In 2018, she moved to Gimli and chose to continue her practice at River Rock Massage Therapy.

Alison utilizes many techniques in her treatment plans from Myofascial Therapy to Trigger Point Therapy. Her main treatment goal with massage therapy is to help facilitate and maintain optimal function for her clients.

Originally working as a Certified Health Care Aid, Sam decided she wanted to look at other opportunities to help people. She always enjoyed working on people’s shoulders, and one day her mother in law told her she should look into Massage Therapy as a career. Since then, Samantha took the leap and graduated from the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies. Sam is registered in therapeutic (assessment and treatment), rehabilitation, maintenance, deep tissue and relaxation massage therapy.
