GCCS Kindergarten

This morning was a special one as we celebrated the graduation of our kindergarteners! Watching many of these bright young minds mark the end of their kindergarten journey and get ready to embark on the exciting adventure of Grade 1 was truly heartwarming.
It was a moving and memorable time, filled with smiles, proud parents, and lots of happy tears. To all our little graduates, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll achieve in the future. Here’s to new beginnings and endless possibilities!

Taking a moment to honour all the amazing moms and mother figures in our school community! Today, we thank God for each and every one of you who pour love, wisdom, and guidance into the lives of our students. Your nurturing hearts and steadfast faith are a true blessing. Our school foyer has been whirring with excitement this week thanks to our amazing art display by Kinder P! Each painting of a teacher, lovingly created by our Kinder students, has filled the corridors with bursts of colour and evoked words of joy from their viewers. It's truly heartwarming to see the love and appreciation for our teachers shining through their artwork.

A new month means a new door creation in Kindergarten and a different Fruit of the Spirit for us to learn about. This time it is Gentleness. It’s going to be another adventurous month!

Nothing warms the heart like the buzz of our Kinder students ready to head home after a day full of adventure! Their laughter echoes down the corridors as they share their favourite moments and bid farewell until next week. Oh, and not forgetting their gentle reminders to their teachers that deserve Saturdays off too!

Teacher Appreciation Art Display Unveiled!
Step into our school foyer and be greeted by a heartwarming sight - Kinder P's Teacher Appreciation Art Display! Our talented Kinder P students poured their hearts into creating portraits of every teacher and staff member at GCCS, capturing their unique features and personalities with meticulous care.
Each stroke of paint was carefully chosen and mixed to match hair and skin colors, eye and nose shapes. But their creativity didn't stop there! Our Kinder P students crafted a heartfelt poem, highlighting the kindness and dedication of our staff. They also took the time to create individual cards and pack thoughtful gift bags, expressing their appreciation in the most thoughtful of ways.
At the heart of Kinder P's project lies a simple yet profound objective: to show that each teacher and staff member is cherished, valued, and deeply loved by our school community. Thank you, Kinder P, for reminding us all of the power of gratitude and the beauty of cherishing those who nurture and inspire us every day.

Palm Sunday.
Today marks the beginning of Holy Week, a time of reflection and celebration as we journey towards Easter Sunday. As we commemorate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, let's also take a moment to reflect on the lessons of love, humility, and sacrifice that Palm Sunday teaches us.
Kindergarten have been learning about Palm Sunday and have created these wonderful hand shaped palm leaves as a reminder of the joy and excitement that filled the streets as people waved palm branches, welcoming Jesus with shouts
of "Hosanna!" As we prepare for Easter, let's carry the spirit of Palm Sunday with us—spreading kindness, lifting each other up, and remembering the incredible love that Jesus demonstrated for us all.
