Well Happy Friday friends and patrons and welcome to another funtastic weekend at the Capital!

I understand “funtastic” is probably not a real word, but it is my post so feel free to make up your own words on your own post if you take offence!

So our FUNTASTIC weekend starts tonight with the super fun and entertaining group of fellas in Harbour Masters with their clever interpretations of popular hits you all will know! Friday night from 7:30-11:30 with no cover and our ever popular drinks specials created by Jackie! Hey! No Cover!!

Then on Saturday night we turn the stage over your old school favourites, of Grey! They will be rocking the house with all your classic rock hits of yesteryear! $5 cover charge on Saturday between 7:30-11:30. That should be FUNTASTIC!! (see what I did there? ) But, will there be free parking there in the North End of Halifax? Why yes, yes there is!

Then….then for the FUNTASTIC finale of your weekend at the
Capital Sports Bar, we listened and we are delivering premiere entertainment to you in the form of MANY GUITARS! I keep telling you, don’t miss this group! Seriously, your weekend will be less than FUNTASTIC if you miss out on this Sunday matinee between 2-6pm! There will be drink and food specials all afternoon with an amazing performance by one of mine and your favourite bands . No frigging cover charge! Shocking really?

Yeah, it’s time to have a FUNTASTIC time all weekend at the Capital Sports Bar at 6300 Lady Hammond Road in Halifax, just up from the Windsor Street Exchange….don’t go to Kempt Road, go to Lady Hammond and hang out with us for three days of FUN!

Our Half Cut band feels like it’s been a whirlwind summer where we have played all over this province making new friends and making music!

Now we are coming home to Halifax to one of my favourite places, The Capital Sports Bar!

Lots of my friends are playing this weekend and any choice you make to go out and support live music is a very good choice! Thank you for doing so!

John Geddes is healing very well and we’d like to thank you for your continued healing thoughts, positive vibes and prayers for his recovery after surgery. No fear though, as Johnny heals, our good friend MacKeighan has been doing a bang up job on lead guitar!! What a treat to okay with Dave again!

So to all the people who promised they’d come see Half Cut next time we were in town…..Ding D**g! We’re here!!! And we REALLY are selling t-shirts! It’s not a scam! Lol!

We know there is void in our community without the staple venue Bearly's House of Blues and Ribs. I personally visited and played there numerous times, such a cool vibe. While they prepare for their big move and we wish them all the success in the world, we at the Capital will try to quench your thirst for the Blues with the first time performance of Bob Naugler & The Midtown Blues Band this Friday night from 7:30-11:30! And hey? There’s even tons of free parking in the front and back of the building! 6300 Lady Hammond Road in Halifax! And……NO COVER CHARGE! You should come and check them out! We’re pretty excited about it !! Friday night Blues at the Capital! Will it become a thing???
