Dream Weaver Custom Quilting

I have been working on this Jacqueline de Jong quilt. It’s a paper pieced challenge but rewarding to see it come together. The end is on the horizon but still a ways off. It’s mostly custom dyed colours with a few batiks. If it wasn’t enough of a challenge, I’m using black satin for the background. The quilting will be so much fun although thread changes will make it a slow process

Wow. Dusty plum and stormy sky again. These dyed pieces were started on darker fabrics. You can almost feel the storm in the stormy sky.

Trying solid colour ice dyeing as suggested by the fantastic staff at Prochem and Dye in Massachusetts. Spicy plum and stormy sky produce amazing dye colours and patterns

Fall leaves and pumpkin spice means fall dyeing. The colours are outstanding and have fall names like all spice, straw, brick and golden oak. The ice dyed combinations always are fun and surprising
