Our annual Customer Appreciation Sale is this weekend, and in the spirit of true celebration and also, let’s be real, our need to pack and move ten years’ worth of Patch to our new location next month, we’re extending the sale over two days.

It all starts Friday at 4pm. We’ll stay open till 7pm, offering 15% off fabric and patterns—20% if you bring or wear something you made with Patch fabric, like these superstars did last year. Then, we’ll do it all again on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Plus! We’ve got a bunch of exciting bolt ends and we’re putting together some scrappy packs—and we’re selling off some of our old shop samples!

What a decade we’ve had on Robie Street, friends! And now, after ten amazing years here, as the city grows and changes, it’s time for us to grow and change, too.

We’re moving!!

We’ll close for a few days in mid-June to pack up all our bits and bobs and bolts and bobbins, and then we’ll reopen in our beautiful new space at 2576 Agricola Street (where is currently popping up).

We’re hyped to welcome you to our new space, which has more room for sewists in the workshop, and even a bit of outdoor space!

The new spot is right around the corner (140 metres away!) and we can’t wait to show you around.

Meantime, we’d love to hear some of your favourite Robie-era Patch memories! (Like, look how…minimal early days Patch was!)

How we made the decision to close at 1:30 today, to keep our customers and staff safe. We’ll be back at it Sunday from noon to five. Cozy up, pals, and don’t forget our corduroy is on sale in our web shop!

Are you seeking closure? Are there garments you’re pulling away from sewing because zipper-insertion intimidates you? We’ve got a workshop offering with some teeth in it for you! We’ll help you zip it good. We’ll get you closure to fine with zipper insertion. Learn the basics of invisible zippers, in-seam zippers, and fly-front zippers and leave with a sampler you can refer to as you move forward, plus all the zipper puns you can handle. Somewhere under all this snow, these springtime friends are sleeping. We’re shovelling out and will open the shop at noon today. Pop in and see us if you can! And if you can’t, the web shop is always open!

Send your young sewist to us for March Break Camp and we’ll send them back with new skills, and a handmade garment. Kids ages 8-11 with some sewing experience are invited to join us March 11-15, 9am to noon, for a guaranteed good time. Limited space remains—sign up on our website, call, email, or drop by.

It’s time for our annual math quiz friends, also known as our Gift Certificate Sale!

Our whole mood board (our whole personality?) right now is all all the time. I mean, how could you not throw yourself wholeheartedly into a pattern that’s as comfortable in stretch faux-leather as it is in cozy pj-style prints, size-inclusive, with versions for masculine bodies, feminine bodies, and kid bodies alike?
We invite you to throw yourself wholeheartedly into our Hudson Pants workshop this month. It’s a great skill-builder for an advanced beginner and a terrific intro to sewing with knits. And we happen to have some great French Terrys in stock that would be super cozy for right about now. We are just saying.
