Here is a lovely thing.
Rose Lemonade🌹
Before going out to w**d the beet greens I poured a glass of water. squeezed a half lemon into it. Plucked a small handful of rosa rugosa petals💕 from the rose bush. tucked them into the glass of lemon water and set the glass in the sun to infuse for the afternoon while I worked. When I got back I enjoyed this delightful unsweetened pink rose petal infused lemonade. You could add honey or maple syrup to sweeten. Sometimes I do this in a large mason jar before I go to the beach and let it sit in the sun at the beach to infuse. The lemon helps to extract. If you leave out the lemon and let it sit in full sun for the day you can pour into a spritzer bottle and use to hydrate your skin at the beach. But don’t do this with the lemon in it as lemon topically increases photosensitivity. There are roses everywhere right now! Enjoy☺️

We’ve never tried dying eggs with blueberries 🫐or hibiscus 🌺 before but those colours are rich and beautiful so I’m definitely going to use some of the hibiscus flowers I brought back from Egypt this fall for this 😃 I’m not much in the mood for cooking Easter dinner..maybe we’ll have pizza!(-: and set up the dining table for a weekend of egg dying and spring inspired crafting 🐣

💚Fry tofu separately from veggies.
Can also prep this way and roast in oven on oiled cookie sheet if you rather not fry

💚can use water instead of oil on high heat to flash steam the veggies for a lighter option.

💚serve over brown rice (we like to add sunflower seeds before cooking the rice..1/3 cup to 1 cup rice) or another favourite grain.

Resilience❤️🌱. Norbert has resilience. He is home and recovering from his heart surgery ❤️‍🩹. He’s out for gentle walks, climbing stairs, cooking dinner 💪🏾 and other than that he’s resting..feeding the birds..petting the cats..

Remember Lily? She’s currently taking her alternator off her minivan engine because she wants to learn how and wants to save some money at the mechanic on Salt Spring Island BC where she’s living and working at a small farm and bakery until she misses us so much she has to make the journey back to Nova Scotia again to take over the family farm😁 Here she is last summer in the carrot patch. We miss her a lot and are so happy to see her treating life as a learning adventure 💚💚💚
