๐ Earlier this month, McMaster UGME learners Saad Muhammad, Eddie He, Yihang Qin, Michael Wang, and Mohamed Ali (Class of 2026) participated in the BRIGHT Run. This annual event, organized by the Juravinski Cancer Centre, raises vital funds for local breast cancer research, inspired by the support of breast cancer patients.
Their participation highlights McMaster's commitment to advancing breast cancer research and supporting local patients.

In July, four McMaster UGME learners competed at the 2024 CanAmerican Club Crew Championships, a national dragon boat competition co-organized by USDBF and Dragon Boat Canada.
Stephanie Chen (c2026), Sophia Hou (c2027), and Bonnie Lu (c2026) raced in the U24 division with , , and , where Stephanie's team placed 3rd in Mixed and 1st in Women's, ultimately winning the U24 club crew title, and Sophia's team placed 2nd in Mixed. Angela Lin (c2025) raced in the Premier Division with , placing 3rd in the Women's division. Congratulations to our medical students!
This past year, Stephanie and Bonnie were also coaches for the Mac Med Dragon Boat team, previously revived by Angela and the other c2025 coaches. The Mac Med Dragon Boat IG is excited to welcome new paddlers (no experience required) - please keep an eye out for future events!
