As temperatures climb in the Okanagan, we remind visitors and locals that they can cool down at the Kelowna Visitor Centre or at any public City of Kelowna facility, including recreation centres and local libraries.
Additionally, the City is waiving transit fees to ensure transportation is not a barrier to keeping coolโmake sure to tell the driver that you are travelling to a place to cool down.

Happy Pride Month!
This June, we're celebrating the strength, resilience, and diversity of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. We honour the incredible contributions of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals to our society and workplaces.
Pride Month is a time to recognize the progress made toward equality and the work that still needs to be done. We're proud to stand with the LGBTQIA2S+ community in advocating for inclusive and fair employment practices.
**Did You Know?**
- Canada is home to about 1 million LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, making up approximately 4% of the population aged 15 and older. (Source: Statistics Canada)
- Despite advancements, LGBTQIA+ individuals often face significant challenges in the workforce, including higher rates of precarious employment and job mismatch.
As we celebrate Pride Month, let's continue to push for workplaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected. Together, we can create a world where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated. Join us in honoring the vibrant LGBTQIA2S+ community this month and every month. Let's work towards a future where everyone can bring their true selves to work and thrive.
