In a word: oh.
I think the most prolific thing I learned in this course was this simple fact:
Self healing is wonderful and fulfilling, but when the hurt was caused because of ruptures in bonds - when it was people who hurt or failed us - we require interaction with safe people to repair.
You can do SOOOO much on your own, but you deserve the depth of connection and growth that comes with establishing secure attachments and peace from the people in your past. ❤️

IMO a holistic approach is THE approach.
But I don't mean a naturopathic or "traditional" approach when I say holistic. I mean WHOLE - as in all aspects and parts of you. Focusing only on body management strategies or mind-only strategies won't.....They need to be PARTS of the healing journey regardless of the malady.
These are some examples but certainly not all inclusive. Just representing how a holistic approach is so much more complex and multi-faceted. Exactly like the human beings we are :)

I ran into someone from my past life a few days ago. We talked about how life changes and how it stays the same. So What are your top 3 values?
For each one, ask yourself the following questions:
1) What BEHAVIOUR do I do every day (or weekly) to DEMONSTRATE that value?
2) At work, what BEHAVIOUR do I do regularly that DEMONSTRATES that value?
3) If I'm NOT doing things regularly that demonstrate this value, is it really mine?
*if you've unintentionally adopted a value this is a good time to recalibrate and be honest about what is really YOUR value*
4) If it really is my value, What behaviours do I need to start engaging with more often to LIVE INTO MY VALUES?
I hope this activity helps you see the importance of your regular habits and rituals and decisions.
I hope you can find motivation and commitment to re-engage with the actions and amplify the most aligned parts of what you are already doing.
Connect back with your heartfelt life. 💜 And then make the decisions that are best for your next phase.
✨️Day 2✨️: This one can be a bit of a mindf #$k to be honest.
Part of the cynicism we feel drives our DISCONNECT and DISCONTENT.
But the truth behind the burnout is that we've disconnected from ourselves.
It's easy to become our job, our impact or what we think of as our purpose. And when we start to hate those things, without meaning too we start to hate ourselves and what we've chosen to endure.
You cannot heal in the environment that hurts you. But if that environment is in your own head, you gotta clean mental house first.
Tell me who you are.
Tell me the other roles you play.
Tell me your other passions.
Tell me your hobbies and talents.
AND THEN.....Tell me who you are BEING. Not just what you DO.
Are you successful?
Are you caring?
Are you contributing?
Are you being a person you would be proud of?
Can you start becoming more than just the job, role, profession?
Try not to disconnect into nothingness. Bring in your best qualities and BE all of who you are meant to be.
Start up a "To Be" list. 💜

Think about it. Do you have a visceral or somatic reaction you want to hide, escape from or avoid? *I'm looking at you IBS symptoms (aka a very angry gut instinct trying to protect but being neglected)*
We store up the details in our subconscious mind and the impact in our body. And over time, that build up becomes serious damage.

This was a minute of a moment that glimmered with the hope of a new season. The time to harvest great experiences and store them up for the next season of rest and hibernation.

After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009, she returned to Northwestern Ontario to gain experience in community, hospital and long term care settings. As an advocate for evidence based, client centered care she'll be offering new combination services for pain, burnout and the corresponding emotional distress.
What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as “tapping”. This subtle technique uses self- administered tapping on a specific sequence of acupressure points while discussing difficult experiences or memories that invoke a strong sympathetic nervous system response (flight/flight/freeze responses). An EFT coach helps guide clients through the process using appreciative inquiry and somatic experiencing (body sensation) validation. This technique does not provide therapeutic analysis or diagnosis, however it can be very complimentary to behavioural change therapies, goal setting and wellness initiatives.
