We received some great news this week regarding a couple mortgage industry changes coming our way in December.

- First time buyers will now be able to access 30 year amortizations allowing them to qualify for more

- The price cap for insured mortgages will increase to $1.5M (from $1M) to allow more people to qualify for a mortgage with less than 20% down

We do hope that these changes, along with decreasing interest rates, will help open doors for people that have had a hard time breaking into the housing market.
