Kitchener startup sends wound-cleaning kits to Ukraine Biomiq, a Kitchener-based startup, donates wound-cleaning kits to treat Ukrainian soldiers injured by Russian invaders, providing essential infection control solutions to support front-line medics.

With rising cases of antimicrobial resistance as well as increasingly traumatic wounds sustained from ballistic missile attacks, readily available options for efficacious wound care is more critical than ever for the talented medical professionals in Ukraine.

Biomiq is honoured to support frontline hospitals in Ukraine with a donation of over 4,000 bottles of PureCleanse™ STAT—our Made-in-Canada wound irrigation and lavage system—in partnership with the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. Our collective goal was to help Ukrainian medical professionals more effectively address the increasingly complex wounds caused by the ongoing conflict.

The donation was successfully delivered to key facilities in late September, and has been actively used by Ukrainian clinicians from the moment it arrived.
