First, we replaced the old stair treads that were warped and cupped…
Then we installed new laminate on them with matching custom square edge flush nosings, and finished it with white risers.
A very clean and modern look to compliment the glass railing.

Stairs, stairs, and more stairs in this 3 level townhouse I just completed.
It took 3 weeks to get this project done, which included 65 bags of leveling and 11 sheets of plywood to raise the subfloor and get it within tolerance for flatness.
Hard to believe there was laminate flooring installed previously by another company without any of this leveling done, but it’s no surprise why the old floor was coming apart everywhere and had major soft spots.
Now these new floors will last!

My third project in this Port Moody townhouse complex.
For this unit I supplied a beautiful Kentwood engineered hardwood that the homeowners selected, along with a 4.5” flat stock baseboard.
The finished floor turned out stunning, and the homeowners love it!
Another high quality install, focused on doing the job right.

A restoration project I just completed on a heritage home.
Beautiful engineered hardwood floors with lots of character and some intricate stairs.

I LOVE how my design turned out on my truck 😍
It’s unique, bold, and eye catching!
Nothing stands out more than having your company branding wrapped on your truck.
If you see it, you won’t forget it!

Our latest creation 🪵🔨😍
This Burke Mountain home got a nice upgrade from the original carpet on the upper floor and now has hardwood throughout to match the existing hardwood on the main floor.

Anyone can post nice pictures of the work they do, and from afar it looks good…
It’s when you look closely at the details is where you will see what kind of quality the work actually is.
How accurate are the cuts, does it need lots of caulking to hide the big gaps?
We focus on the intricate details and being precise with our work.
These stairs are just an example of the high quality craftsmanship that sets us apart from the rest.
🪵🔨🙌🏼
Another project complete!
After a flood in their basement, these homeowners upgraded from the old carpet to these beautiful natural white oak engineered hardwood floors.
The concrete slab had lots of dips and low spots, so we leveled the entire area to make it nice and flat, which is very important for a glue down floor to not have any hollow spots.
We don’t cut corners here, we do it right, every time!

The final design proof for the wrap on my truck.

Final flooring project of 2023 is complete, and what a TRANSFORMATION!
This home was in need of a major flooring overhaul and update.
After a lot of prep with leveling, we installed a Mowhawk waterproof laminate floor, and finished it off with new baseboards and casings throughout.

What a transformation! 😲
We installed a high end waterproof laminate throughout the top two levels of this home and made the stairs to this sunken living room look like hardwood with flush nosings made out of the laminate flooring for a perfect seamless match.

That’s a wrap, floors are all done on this brand new house!
Watch as I walk you through the home, showing a before and after of our installation.
3500 square feet of laminate flooring throughout and 34 stairs with custom square edge nosings and light inserts on the risers.

A before and after from 1 of the bedrooms I re did with new flooring on the main floor of this home after the previous owners had the floors done by a contractor who did a very poor job.
They installed the floor with the joint pattern repeating every other row 🤦🏼♂️
There was no leveling done and in some spots the floor dropped 3/4” 😲
As a result, some of the joints were coming apart, and in some spots they left the floor so far from the wall that the baseboard didn’t cover the gap 👎🏼
I removed the old laminate floor, prepped the subfloor with primer and leveled the concrete, then installed a new vinyl plank floor on a now perfectly flat subfloor and finished it off with new baseboards and casings.
There were 2 additional bedrooms, a hallway, a bathroom, and a storage area that I also did in this same vinyl plank flooring and new trim.
It turned out perfect and the home owners love the new floors 🙏🏼
This is a great example of “You get what you pay for”
A beautiful, traditional solid hardwood floor project complete! 🪵🔨
Such a shame that the original solid oak hardwood floors had to be ripped out, but unfortunately due to a flood they were water damaged and not salvageable.
Instead of updating the floors to a more modern wide plank hardwood, the home owner wanted to keep with the classic traditional look of the original floors so we re installed the same 2 1/4 inch natural oak hardwood.
Turned out amazing! 😍
The transformation is 😲😍
This was a flooring project I completed back in January with a Mohawk waterproof laminate.
Super happy with how the floors turned out, including the stairs that look just like hardwood even though it’s laminate.

CLIENT – How much will the installation cost and how long will it take?
CONTRACTOR - $3500 and about 5 days.
CLIENT – That’s too expensive for this job!
CONTRACTOR – How much do you think it should cost?
CLIENT – $2500 max! It’s only 5 days of work.
CONTRACTOR – I can’t do the job for so little.
CLIENT – I feel like I’m being ripped off for the price you’re quoting if it’s only taking you 5 days to do the work.
CONTRACTOR – I’m sorry you feel this way. You’re not paying me for the time it takes me, you’re paying me for my experience and the quality of the finished work to be done properly. Why don’t you do the job yourself?
CLIENT – I don’t know how to do any of that.
CONTRACTOR – For $800 I can teach you the basics of how to do the work. Since you’ve never done it before, it will take you longer than it would take me and the quality won’t be the same but you’ll save $2700.
CLIENT – Deal!
CONTRACTOR – Great! To start, you will need a table saw, jigsaw, miter saw, a flooring nail gun, and some other things like a hammer, nails, glue, tape measure etc.
CLIENT – Oh I didn’t realize you needs all that. I don’t have any of those tools and I can’t buy all that for just one job, it will cost a lot of money.
CONTRACTOR – Ok. You can rent most of those tools for around $600. You’re still saving $2100.
CLIENT – That’s cutting my savings, but I will rent the tools.
CONTRACTOR - Ok sounds good. You’ll also need a truck or van to bring all the flooring material here.
CLIENT - I don’t have a vehicle for that.
CONTRACTOR - You can rent one for the day or get a delivery company to deliver it for like $300.
CLIENT - Ugh, ok.
CONTRACTOR – Perfect, you’re still saving $1800. I’ll be back Saturday so we can start.
CLIENT – Wait! I can’t do Saturday, I have plans already.
CONTRACTOR – I’m sorry, I can only teach you on Saturday as I have to prioritize my time on another job I have during the week.
CLIENT – Ok, I will sacrifice my plans on the weekend.
CONTRACTOR – Right, me too! If you’re going to do the job yourself, don’t forget you need to order the flooring material ahead of time and bring it home during the week so it’s here for us to start Saturday morning.
CLIENT – I can’t, I work during the week, I’ll have to take time off to do that which will cost me money too. You know what, it’s probably better for you to do the job. It’s better to pay you to do the job right and not have to go through all that hassle.
CONTRACTOR – Good thinking, I agree. I’ll get started next week.
People often forget that a contractor with their own business means there are many expenses for them to run their business, like a proper vehicle and it’s corresponding expenses with gas and insurance, liability insurance, wcb, tools, maintenance of those tools, accounting, etc and the money they charge for their work doesn’t all just go straight into their pocket as profit.
People are not just paying for the time it takes to do the work, they are paying for the knowledge, experience, craftsmanship and quality of the finished project.
You get what you pay for, and if you want a cheap price, then you can expect cheap quality work.
