𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.

I felt rejected by my peers. I felt invisible and that what I had to say was wrong or stupid. I always felt like an outcast and because of anxiety or fear of embarrassment I would avoid get togethers or events. The list went on….💔

I would look at others and compare my journey to theirs. The harder I strived to be good enough or to measure up, the more that perfectionism crippled me and almost killed me.

One of the biggest breaking points in my life was when I developed an eating disorder in high school. I struggled with anorexia, binge eating and compulsive overexercising. What had begun as eating healthier to manage my IBS and get fit, developed into a life threatening disease.

I was maturing into a woman and gaining weight (which was natural but I didn’t see that at the). When I started losing weight from eating healthier, not only did I feel better because my IBS was under control, but I started getting compliments everywhere I went.

This was thrilling!

I felt like I was finally being seen, being accepted, and loved. So, naturally I kept doing what I was doing, but I crossed the tipping point and got addicted to it. At my lowest I was 89 lbs. It was right before Christmas and I knew I would binge, so I wanted to lose enough to feel safe eating whatever I wanted and be ‘normal’. I had wanted so badly to be as good as everyone else and be loved.

By the time I was a senior, I willingly went to treatment. I couldn’t handle it anymore. All I felt was shame, depression, guilt and hatred for myself and I was absolutely exhausted. After relapsing a month after treatment, I tried to commit su***de. To this day I know it was a miracle that I survived.

After years of being a personal growth ju**ie, I had overcome my ED but chaos and trauma kept showing up. Each time in a different form, but what I felt about myself was still the same- guilt, shame, fear, hopelessness and that I was unlovable.

Pain and suffering…
This was how I existed until I turned 33. I had hit another breaking point and I decided ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH!

💜 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵- 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵! 🦋
I was always an equal, just different and my differences are my superpowers
I’m very sensitive, and that makes me an incredible healer because I’m able to connect to people on a deeper level
I have always been beautiful inside and out, and it has nothing to do with what others think of me
I have always loved everyone, and now I love myself too (even the shadow parts)
I have always been valuable, and nothing could ever change that
I am loveable
