Anyone Intersted in becoming an umpire for the upcoming men's, ladies and mixed season are encouraged to attend the annual meeting March 9th 6pm at Honkers pub. There is no commitment by attending the meeting so if your interested you can come out and see if it's the right fit for you.

Latest news From Hank relating to Men's league

As the Province begins to loosen restrictions, we are all wondering about a return to softball.
Softball Valley was closed by the City of Lethbridge until June 1 and that deadline will certainly be extended.

When we will be allowed to reopen is anyone guess but AHS has offered a glimmer of hope in the past few days.
The drop in cases is allowing them to revisit the time table and phase 2 and 3 may be quicker then first thought.

For now, we remain on hold. The various sport organizations (Softball Canada, NSA, SPN) are putting together proposals
as to how the sport will function safely. We are working on protocols specific to Softball Valley. Once we get approval,
we anticipate things to move quickly towards, at least a few months, of play this season.

I suspect that we will have very little advanced warning about opening so the timing of things like entry fees and scheduling
will be immediate. If we do get an opening date, the leagues will need to be sure of the number of teams and then we can
determine the number of games and the entry fees. Be prepared to provide a quick response .


So, lets all stay healthy and observe the new rules of life and if the numbers stay good we can play some ball !!

Men's league postponed during the month of may due to Coronavirus protocols put forth by the city. Looking to have a June 2 start. We will continue to keep everyone updated on the situation.

Gentleman some information for the upcoming season.

- A and 40+ will play on thursdays nights, B will play Tuesdays.

- B teams will be allowed up to 3 A players on there team, unlimited B players in A.

- The Gyro will be May 9th

- Start of the season will be may 12th for B and May 14th for A and 40+

- fees are still being determined but will be lower than last year, they will also go down if the season has to be postponed

We have a few house keeping items to get out there to the players.



First- Ken W. Macdonald has stepped down as commissioner of the league. Brendan Miller has been appointed the new Commissioner for the league.



Second- Representatives have been appointed for each division.

Brandan Dowson is the A division representative .

Ashton Philips is the B division representative

Hank is the 40+ representative



Third- Changes.

The league is going down to one night a week this year for all divisions. We haven't yet decided which night it will be. We are doing this in hopes that some new teams will join the league. So please put the word out that we are looking to add teams

A and B will be divided at the start of the Season.

The league will be switching to using Hot dot balls in the A and B divisions

Note- no changes to 40+
