I was tired of the flat ceiling in this entrance way and crown molding just didn't give it the look I wanted. So I did some research on different ceiling designs and came across false ceiling designs. These seem to be more popular in Europe than over here. Had to try it out. Here is my simple design that adds some depth and allows me to add some more lighting. Still have a bit of work to do, but you can see what it's going to look like.

Plaster ceilings are always fun to patch. Had these 2 to do last week. The plaster was different thicknesses from one side to the other. Took a bit of time to even out the differences but it now looks like it was never there. Ready for the client to paint.

Added some backing for the new vanity as well.

The client wanted the popcorn texture removed from their living room. I suggested that this would be a good time to add pot lights to this room as there were no lights at all in this room. The electrician came and made his holes and I patched them all up while skimming out the ceiling.

Started some more popcorn removal today. Even with only one coat it looks better already.
