The indie band guru said “One of my favourite parts of discovering music is when a band has the balls to create a mix of many different styles to create something that is all their own. Some of the biggest artists ever have taken this chance, from Elvis Presley to The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Bands need to feel free to break the norm and use all their influences to create something original. Our latest find has done just that. Let us introduce you to Lucky Widmore. Bottom Line: Lucky Widmore’s Long Time Coming EP is a complete record that has the sound of an experienced band that is ready for mainstream radio play.”
The Music itself transcends genres. Influenced by EDM, Pop-Rock, Funk, Alternative and 80's retro; Lucky Widmore is very original sounding. The result is a modern EDM groove layered with melodious synth, shimmering guitar tones, and infectious Pop-Rock riffs. Pop infused vocal melodies and tight harmonies top it all off. They have been compared to the Kooks, Maroon 5, Two Door Cinema, Walk the Moon and Bruno Mars, but would never be accused of imitating them. Combined with a ferocious energy, and an incredibly catchy, interactive stage show, the band is one to catch live. It’s this kind of reputation that has earned the band stage time with top indie bands like Illscarlett, Street Pharmacy, Stereo Kid, The Little Black Dress, Stayle Fish, Ivory Hours and The Johnstones as well as appearances at Indie Week, The Barrie Music Festival, Budweiser Music Festival, Rib Festival and the Georgia Triangle Music Festival. The band has just finished their most ambitious and creative endeavor to date, teaming up with a local EDM producer to incorporate a modern pop, electronic dance vibe to the Lucky Widmore sound. The first single to drop off the new record is "Good Morning" which was featured by popular Canadian music blog "Ride The Tempo" Make sure to check it out and prepare to get even luckier! Lucky Widmore's music is a unique brand of EDM, Pop-Rock fusing elements of Funk and Alternative. The result is a modern EDM groove layered with melodious synth, shimmering guitar tones, infectious Pop-Rock riffs and to top it all off Pop infused vocal melodies and harmonies.
