my client came in with a brow correction, she previously got her brows microbladed back in 2017 and was due for a refresher.

With brow corrections most of the times we aren’t able to change much to what’s already there, for example her previous artist tattooed her tails a bit low and one side was looking more droopy than the other. I made minor adjustments to the left side bringing it a bit higher (which was actually bugging her because she knew herself that it was low) and made both her brows more even. My client was very pleased 🥰

We corrected her colour, defined her shape to suit her features more and had to go darker to make sure we cover up the old tattoo. my client came in with a loong history of previous brow work dating back to almost 𝟹𝟶 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰. The last time she got her brows touched up was in 2019 where she got microblading done. As you can tell by the first picture, her brows turned red and her old colour resurfaced resulting in unevenness in colour. It is 𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 for your brows to fade and possibly turn differently colours as it is semi permanent makeup. ⁣

In cases where your brows turn into a different colour, it could be for several reasons: ⁣
•too warm/cool colour was used for your skin undertone⁣
•your artist tattooed the wrong layer of skin ⁣
•old colour came back prior to a correction ⁣
•wrong colour matching ⁣
•long overdue for a colour fresh, colour will tend to fade overtime. Red is the last colour to fade and tends to stay in skin longest. ⁣

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼. ⁣

Normally for brow corrections, especially 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗥 corrections is a multiple step process. Depending on what you have we might not be able to work on it or even fix certain parts that you want. Every case is different. Corrections require time and patience because it’s not guaranteed the old colour might not come back. Coming in with another artist’s work will always be considered a correction. ⁣

We managed to freshen the shape of her brows to suit her more and neutralize the colour that was on her previous brows and it was light enough for me to use the target colour on. We will wait a month to see how her brows will heal and assess from there.⁣

Overtime it’s 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 for our brows to fade and/or change colour. Theres various of factors on why this happens, it could be: client not following pre and post care, artist using wrong colour combos for your skin undertone or even tattooing wrong layer of skin. That’s why it is 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 to find a good artist, follow after care and pre care and get annual colour boosts. ⁣

This woman pictured here is my mom who has gotten her brows touched up many many times because if he bad retention due to having oily skin. Her brows faded into a reddish purple colour which I had to correct before going in with our target colour. Her brows were uneven as well, one brow had a longer tail and the arch was sitting further. Luckily I was able to fix it but this may not be the case for other clients. ⁣

SCABBING IS NORMAL.
Immediately after your procedure the fluids from your brows turn into a scab. While your brows heal externally, the scabs will flake off. Remember to not touch them to prevent any loss of colour 😊

Please remember that everyone’s healing process will vary on your skin type and body capabilities. These visuals act as a reference to what to expect to see when your brows are healing externally. After all your scabs flake off your brows may appear lighter, wait a few more weeks and they will darken a bit— the true pigment will resurface.
