What is a keratin lash lift?

A lash lift curls & lifts your natural eyelashes with effects lasting up to 6-8 weeks. It replaces the need to use a lash curler.

Compared to the traditional lash lift, keratin lash lifts have an added ingredient (keratin) in the process. This helps to nourish & strength the eyelashes.

1. What makes your marketing unique?
I focus on highlighting how I’m DIFFERENT than other lash business & artists. I spread awareness in my marketing that:
👉🏻I have a healthcare background (pharmacist). I know a lot of detail about the products that I use & the ingredients in them. I also follow strict health protocols to keep everyone healthy & safe.
👉🏻I can speak English, Cantonese & Mandarin. My clients know that they can speak with me in any of those languages that they are most comfortable speaking in.
👉🏻I do my best to give my clients the best experience possible.
👉🏻My business specialists in lash lifts & natural looking extensions.
2. What marketing efforts do you utilize and why? When clients book with me, I always ask them how they found out about me. New clients usually find me on Instagram or through word of mouth. Therefore I focus most marketing efforts on IG & referrals
👉🏻IG has helped me kick start my biz! Most of my clients are IG users. I post a variety of content - from client photos, to educational posts, to funny reels, to collaborative live sessions with experts (ex. Optometrist, therapist). I find that this helps keep my followers interested in the content.
👉🏻I use a referral program to boost referrals from existing clients. I offer both the new client & my existing client a discount. It’s a really effective way to bring in new clients, & to thank existing clients for their support!
👉🏻I have a website for clients that prefer searching for services via Google. I encourage my clients to leave me a review to boost bookings on Google. To thank them for the effort, I offer them a discount for their next service with me.
3. What are you most proud of within your marketing?
My Instagram marketing! I get a lot of new clients on IG because over the years, I have done A LOT of research in learning about the algorithm. I make sure to keep researching & jumping on trends because as we all know, the algorithm is ALWAYS changing. However, a common theme is to ensure that people get some sort of VALUE from the content that I post. This is either having educational content

👉🏻 How “full” the lashes look depend what lash service you book AND how full your natural lash line is! This client’s CLASSIC set that looks quite full & fluffy because she has A LOT of natural eyelashes.
👉🏻Your FIRST lash appointment (a full set) will typically take on avg ~ 2-3 hours depending what lash service you book
👉🏻 Refills should be booked approximately every 3 weeks
👉🏻 Extensions SHOULD be cleansed daily to ensure good retention & hygiene
👉🏻 Avoid caffeine & use the bathroom prior to your lash appointment

Properly isolated lashes!

Proper lash isolation is crucial for great lash lift results. This prevents any wonky lashes that occur due to poorly separated & directed lashes. Lashes should be uniformly aligned on the shield, making a 90 degree angle with the lash line.

Lash isolation takes TIME! This is why at SS Beauty, we always spend time perfecting lash isolation before lifting the lashes.

How often should you get eyelash extension refills?

It’s typically recommended to get a refill every 2-3 weeks to maintain the look 😉 sooooo don’t forget to book lash refills (especially if your artist gets booked up reallllll fast 😉)

Waiting past 4 weeks will be a full set with most lash artists because of the amount of work required to give you a fresh new set ☺️

During a refill, overgrown lashes are also removed, & new ones are applied.

HOW Tape Can IMPROVE Your Lash Lift Results 💡

You’ll want to save these down!

1) LIFT : With a thin strip of tape, tape down & gently lift the eyelid, then tape back down. This LIFTS the eyelid up slightly to lift the eyelashes OFF the gel pad - makes lifting SO much easier.

2) HOLD DOWN : Tape down bottom eyelashes - this prevents bottom lashes from getting into your way, & prevents you from accidentally lifting them.
( + You can also use tape to HOLD DOWN client’s fluttery eyes that don’t stay close! )

3) COVER: Sometimes, there may be lashes you DON’T want to lift. Tape them down to make it easier to ignore them, and to make it even easier to apply the silicone shield onto the lash line.

BONUS: Some clients have ultra sensitive skin who may benefit from tape across the eyelid where you’ll be adhering the silicone shield. This prevents their skin from touching the adhesive 😉
