365 days..
That’s how many days it’s been since being awakened in the wee hours of the morning from a phone call that my still half sleeping self couldn’t process.
That phone call from the first responders that changed everything.
“Vanessa we need your keys.. The building has collapsed.. We need entry to search for people”…

“Wait..What?!!”…

A year later the images of that morning are still playing on a loop in my mind. -So vividly, so all consuming.
Even now, 365 days later I’m mentally still there standing outside on the sidewalk, staring in disbelief at what I am seeing but not really grasping the reality of it all.

In that moment who would have ever known that in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead so many things would be changing, and changing so rapidly at that.

Passing by the very place that you worked so hard to create knowing that you can never return it (even though parts of it physically still remain with remnants of your former self still there just behind the window panes for all to see) is such a bizarre thing to experience.

It’s so hard to express the thoughts and feelings that I carry on a daily basis now.
Since the collapse, there have been so many amazing moments that I hold so much gratitude for, yet there is also still so much grief, anger and confusion that I struggle to make any sense of.

Doing well in my new reality, while regularly passing by the resting place of dreams that were taken away without permission honestly leaves me existing in a weird sort of limbo these days.
Physically here, but mentally there.

Maybe one day I’ll be able to make sense of it all, (maybe not) but for now one foot in front of the other, one breath at a time and one day at a time is all I will continue to focus on..

It’s right around the corner.. are you ready for autumn relaxation? 🍂

Alright folks, as luck would have it Sundara Spa is located within the boil water advisory area. 😩After reading the guidelines sent to us from the health unit it looks like we’ll be able to stay open however as there will be no access to running water services being carried out will need tweaking/altering until further notice and safety protocols will be put in place to ensure we all stay safe.

If you are still not comfortable with us performing your service while the water advisory is in place please let us know and we would be happy to reschedule to another day when the water issue has been fixed.

We’ll update everyone again once we know more.

A simple slow beauty practice allowing you to fully receive all of the wonderful benefits of human touch and connection.

As you ease into relaxation, your feet are enveloped in a warm strawberry-infused effervescent milk bath, softening your skin and calming your senses. After nails and cuticles have been tended to, a sweet cream exfoliating scrub is applied to remove dead skin cells and leave your feet feeling smooth.
A strawberry cream mask is then applied & feet are wrapped in hot towels to allow the ingredients to pe*****te deeply.
As you relax further, you’re treated to a soothing hand and arm massage.
