Where did June and July go? We hope everyone is having a great summer so far!!

It’s so hard to believe we are halfway through the summer already. Soon it will be back to school time....but let’s not think about that yet.☺️

What are your plans for the rest of the summer?

We have a busy August - client projects (modern farmhouse, exterior landscape project, two bathroom renovations) vacation plans, team lunch, a birthday to celebrate, and our 15 year anniversary this month!! So many things to be grateful for 🙏🏼

Our clients were looking for a more updated bathroom that would be more functional and gave a beach like feel.

They didn't like their whirlpool bath tub anymore and dreamt of a free-standing tub.

Our team worked their magic and made their dreams come true, exceeding all expectations.

We completely gutted the bathroom and started from scratch.

A shapely free-standing tub was perfect for their space. We used chrome finishes as per their request. Did you know that if you have chrome fixtures, a great way to keep them spotless is by cleaning them with Turtlewax? This will make them shine and have the water bead right off them.

The double vanity was purchased at Costco. This was a great find and was within their budget. We work with budgets and recommend where to save and where to splurge.

Our clients loved their pieces of art, so our team incorporated them into the new space and had them hung in a casual gallery format to give them that feeling of being at the beach.

Our team took down the shower wall and installed a clear glass from floor to ceiling to make it more open and inviting. Stone tile was added to the shower floor for the earthy beach feel.

Our clients were looking for a stand-alone shower vs stepping over the tub. As they age, they wanted something a little easier for them and since they already had a tub in the home (this is recommended for resale purposes) Tina was happy to oblige.

Our team had the old tub removed and a new walk-in shower installed with updated wall and floor tiles.

We kept the existing vanity since there was nothing wrong with it. We love to reuse, recycle and reporpose whenever possible. We went with a bold dark sparkle countertop installed with an undermount sink for a statement piece. By adding a new countertop and sink it makes it appear like we installed a brand-new vanity. The k***s and the faucet were also replaced to compliment the new countertop.

Of course, we had to add some glam to the room to compliment the countertop so we installed a stunning piece of art and towel bar to match the plumbing fixtures.

My favourite soft neutral colour for millwork. 🤍. And a fantastic job done by Splash of Charm

When our clients don't want to use a stark white, I recommend either Benjamin Moore White Dove or Silver Satin. 😍

Silver Satin is less creamy than White Dove ✅️

Our clients were ready for a fresh new look in their living space.

Tina suggested a lighter carpet to brighten the room and light furniture that filled the room for more seating space. They had a lot of space to fill in! If you choose the right size furniture it will make better use of your space and will make it feel more inviting.

Tina added glass top end tables on each side of the couch to balance with beautiful lamps. She chose glass accent tables to keep it feeling airy. The coffee table was styled with an artifical orchid, stacking books and a decorative orb. Hard to believe that's the same coffee table!

Airy white sheers were added to the window to create softness with a small rod on each side vs one heavy rod across the entire window. Great when you have fully functioning window treatments but when you have only decorative panels, this is the best way to install the rods.

The large artwork was selected to make a statement. If you choose something too small, it will get lost in the room. You want it to be more substantial.

This house needed some love. The stucco was all coming off and the homeowner was looking for a white and black house and wanted to paint the stone. The beautiful stone just needed to be seen and not painted over.

Tina recommended painting the windows, soffit, eaves, and shutters in Benjamin Moore Black Iron 2120-20. The stucco in Cloud Cover OC-25, a soft white that works well with the stone. The home now looks like a new build. Power washing and paint goes a long way!

Tina is a Project Manager by trade and was able to design and build a custom home in six months start to finish. Tear down in December and move in June!

It’s all about starting with a plan. If you don’t have a plan BEFORE you start, things WILL go sideways. It’s like building a house without the foundation, it’s going to fall apart and take longer to rebuild. More time, and more money.
